My chameleon scraped his eye on something a couple weeks ago and I have been keeping an eye on it and I thought it was getting better but then this morning I went in and he has a large scab and his eye is mostly covered/closed. It doesn't appear to be infected but I am worried about it not...
It is my understanding that panthers don't like fruits and vegetables, that they are a strictly live prey eating species. That doesn't mean that you couldn't try some fruits with yours, but it could be dangerous since I have not heard of any eating fruits.
I used mostly dowels which you can get at a craft store or at home improvement stores. You can also find wood from outside, just make sure you clean it first. How are you providing his water needs?
Cover the plant substrate with rocks so he doesn't accidentally eat any when going for feeders. Also, how are you feeding him, free roaming or cup feeding? It wouldn't hurt to add more horizontal pathways either.
Take the mealworms away, they have no nutritional value. Try other types of worms, and they are not stupid, they won't let themselves starve to death. I would at least try superworms, but you should go with silkworms, butterworms or hornworms as the best options. Always keep a variety around.
