My 10 month Veiled has a Ponytail Palm in her enclosure. She is currently shedding, and today I saw her munching on her palm plant. I gave her some strawberries instead and pulled her off of it. Will she be okay? I feel stupid for not assuring it was safe first. Thanks everybody! K. Host

Silkworms aren't a great staple. I used the crickets in a bowl method for mine who was deformed in the mouth.

Yeah, I figured you'd say something about the earthworms. I'll stop feeding those, and try some Mantids, roaches, and BSF larvae.

Okay, I'm going to sound like an idiot, but are young mantises okay for my female Veiled as a daily feeding or just weekly? Also, how are things as far as dusting/spraying (I have spray vitamins) mantises? I really only ask because I'm worried my babies aren't getting a good variety. I feed them...

Honestly I thought it was a shorter life span for them. Thanks, but my point was simply that he lived a very unexpected length of time, despite deformities.

I had a young Red Eared Slider hatch with no eyes. He lived a long life of 6 years and died of old age. I also have a Panther with no tail. Alive and well. It's truly amazing.
