I bought this timer from petco which turns on and off the lights from 7:41am to 7:41pm or you can put it at the times you desire. It works well for the price. For your misting idk what to tell you about a DIY but invest in a mistking when you can so you do not run into this problem anymore...

If that is a water bowl on the bottom you do not need it. Chameleon do not drink watr fom a bowl like other animals. All the other informatio that was given to you is greath though.
