Only problem is I'm not sure the hydrogen peroxide evaporates like alcohol so cleaning a breeders cage would require a ton of water to get that peroxide out to be safe.
Have 6 tall live ficus. They weren't drinking water from the plants as they were accustomed to drinking off the walls. They are all enclosed on 3 sides with complete coverage. They also have around 6 vines each and four branches. It's not like he's cowering in the corner scared. He was drinking...
I found these small worms inside my cricket bin. They are about 1cm long. Are they parasites or just worms? I noticed when I was grabbing crickets and putting them in a bag to be shaken with vitamins.
What's the preformed vit a called? I have my reptivite reptile vitamins with d3 and the only one I could find was vitamin a acetate.
I actually have similar symptoms on two of my chams. One males eyes are fine but hes turned darker. He also sometimes rubs his eyes. I also have a female who has...
I read on my Herpvite that it has a different premade source of vit A meaning the body will self regulate vit a as much as is needed using the premade source and it can't cause liver damage. Is this much better than the reptivite?
Also I have herpvite vitamin supplement. It says it uses a different form of vit A so that the body regulates it and he wont die from overdose. Is it fine to dust for a few days in a row with my chams eye problem?
She hasn't eaten today. Quick question for another cham I have. Does rubbing eye = vit a deficiency or is it only sunken eyes? Is it normal for them to sometimes just rub it? I have a cham that can see very well but I just saw him rub his eye and I don't want him going down the same path my...
So beyond the automated sprayers I have for my cages how can I lift humidity in my room? I just bought a really nice humidifier and over the last 4 hours it's gone up 1% from 29 to 30% in the room. Cages once the water dries will have something around what room humidity is a presume. How can I...
Slowly started to show signs over the period of a week then they flattened. Now she's getting better. Hopefully tomorrow she continues eating. I'll update tomorrow.
Ya I went five days ago. She works with reptiles. I had an eye problem with a lizard a month ago and she made me a nice formula of low dose baytril along with liquid vit A / calcium. I'm not sure if she can do a blood test but I'm going to go back in around 10 days depending on how they are...
Ya I took her to the vet. She wasn't sure what it was but guessed it was an infection of some sort. I'm hoping its just some sort of virus going around.

I used to have live plants in the cages but it didn't help with their drinking and didn't seem to help them in other ways. They have complete cover from 3/4 sides of their cage. They all drink from the sides of the cages and seem to enjoy it. I'll put a cover in front of the females cage.
I got the egg bin underneath her cage now.
Here are a few pics. Hers is the one with the egg laying bin underneath.
You cant really see her stomach well but its bulging to the sides as the center is being pressed on by the vine.
