    Spots have developed?

He used to be a bit too close to the UV (maybe 6 inches at times) and he's wrapping up a shed but its revealing that he has a strange (yes I agree that it looks to be a burn/scar tissue) I'll be trying to contact an herp vet soon. The temps are about 75° ambient and the basking can get to be 85°.

    Spots have developed?

These spots have developed and been developing for a lil while now, but it seems that they're healed/healing now and done developing. What are they? Pics attached, took about 2 or 3 months for them to get to this point since I started noticing them.

    CrossBreeding Chameleons

Within the same genus would be a possibility but even then, the babies might not develop. Try to keep the cross breeding as closely related as possible -if you even get them to mate across species - but otherwise I wouldn't because it's likely to lead to undeveloped eggs. DNA tells the eggs how...

    Cage Lining Question

If the cham's cage lining is not transparent/has design on it, will the "objects" outside of his cage stress him? May have been asked before but I'm curious

    Spatial Awarness

I'm no chameleologist, but I have some observations and a question or two for those who may know just out of curiosity. - What is a chameleon's understanding of space? It's clear that they understand "inside" vs. "outside" and when the door is opened or something is intruding on their home...

    Whitish Purple Spots?

I got him from a PetCo employee who gave me a personally bred cham, I feed his feeders carrots and fluker's, maybe that's helping? But he is awfully close to the bulbs - at times he's maybe 4 inches away but I plan to change that very soon.

    Whitish Purple Spots?

More Info The white/purple is usually always on him, but I suppose it's sometimes a bit more noticeable, maybe because of lighting? No lol not the water droplets - here I've reposted a pic, highlighting the region of his head I'm referring to. Thanks for any help.

    Whitish Purple Spots?

Do you see these spots on his casque? What are they? He is really close to the UVB bulb (somewhere between a foot and 8 inches away thruout the day, he also has a great shade spot he can go to whenever he wants too, sitting at 76 degrees most of the time there and 85-90 degrees 8 inches away...

    Just started scratching himself...?

Mine has been doing the same thing - he just finished a shed and I mist him somewhat often, I see him rubbing both of his rear legs into the vines, especially somewhat slick ones. He will also scratch at himself sort of like a dog would for its ear, on his ribs, as if he was shedding. I see no...
