No, your missing the point. people ask about the fountian not only for looks, but also to help with HUMIDITY. which is why i mentioned having it in screen, INSIDE the cage.

HOW ABOUT PLACING THE FOUNTAIN in a net or screen it? I've heard the answer NO too many times when it comes to using a waterfall for chameleons. why not come up with solution?? why not just put it inside of a net, before u place it in the enclosure?

I have a Jackson. about 10-11 months old. same thing happening last and this month sofar. he likes to chill on the bottom of the tank lately (i have a tank/cage combo) at first i thought it was temperatures. checked that...temps are fine. then i thought it might be because he had no spot to...

Yes i live in Miami, but Rex stays INDOORS, Studio apartment. Thanks for all the great input.

ok so i feel i need to clear something up... IF i were to use substrate(moss) what i would do is what i currently do which is the moss in a rubbermade with holes punched into top. im guessing live plants might need to be added to enclosure for help with humidity. i wanted to keep it fake...

ok guys... ran accross some things that might help or work for you - PORTABLE CLOSETS AS CAGE? anyone ever try using a portable closet? they're cheap and dont see a reason why it wouldnt work. maybe the lights too hot, and might burn? not sure... -coat racks!! these might be a big help...

you might want to look into a humidifier as well. just another popular option here. ;)
