Just picked this gorgeous Goldenchild up last week, along with a 50% Dwarf Jampea retic. The golden is named Mocha, and is a total puppy dog; while Java the Jamp is a spawn of Satan!! Not bad once you hold her, but she is out for blood until then! :eek:
I use an 18" Zoomed hood with a regular light bulb and a Reptisun 5.0 UVB in it, as well as a dome with my basking bulb in it. Seems to provide the essentials and I can give my plants some more light with the regular bulb. Also, it keeps he cage nice and bright.
I got it at a used furniture store- they had these artificial trees all over the store for sale. $30, a little steep but it was the best looking one I saw. Nice and filled out and clean, some just looked too fake or were too thin and skinny. They enjoy it and I like it too though!
Hey everyone-
I just got a 5' artificial ficus tree for my chams to each have some free time in when I'm home. I cleaned it off and already put my female in it as well as my male, Zero- both explored for a while and seemed to enjoy it.
I noticed that Zero has a black spot on his nose, not sure what it is. At first he had little bits of dirt on his feet and face but hat got cleaned off and now he has a little dark spot on his nose. I know that chams turn dark if hey bruise or fell, but I'm not sure if this applies to his nose...
My female shows strong dark gravid colors when the male is nearby, but still keeps the colors to a certain degree even when he's not. Here's a pic of her right after, and then another of her just hanging out a few days later.
