Just a small dish? Maybe I should do that... I just like the idea of letting my guy hunt for them, but im hoping hes actually eating them all. I put 20 or 25 of 1/8 inch ones in there and by the end of the day I dont see them anywhere in the cage, so I can only assume he ate them.

Any stains recommended over any others? I wasnt sure if the Minwax wood finish was good as just a stain and then seal it afterwards as well or if I should go with something thats just a stain?

And does it have to be water based? Can I use the fast drying polyurethane? I thought I read somewhere on this forum that once it dries its no longer toxic.
