idea for a treeless screen cage need advice

I set up his new cage and he actually seems healthier and more active. He looks a little bit bigger and more stretched out. I think he seems happier this way. Just a little update. Now I need to figure out how to do that to my veiled. He is WAY more territorial about his cage. I can get him to...

    temporary move

thanks for the help I managed to get my ac fixed the very next day I posted. It costed me every dime I had at the moment, but I make money nightly with tips so it all worked out in the end. The house is cool and he is not in any more danger of overheating. Thank you for the help.

    temporary move

My Jackson atm is sitting under his basking light of all places. Its a bit cooler today with the storm we had here this morning. His activity is actually as normal maybe a little more alert and active. When my house was cool he would sit on his favorite perch all day. He still does that but has...

    temporary move

Hello, Lately my ac in my house has been on the fritz. I live in FL and the temp in my house is starting to increase due to my ac being out. I am thinking about moving my Jackson chameleon to my moms house for a few days while my temps are high. Right now my thermostat has peaked at 79. And I...

    hide box

that's what I was thinking since right now my veiled has a skimpy tree. I had to replace it since the old one was dying and with it being the time of year I had to take what I can get. He uses the leaves to hide like he should so I don't think I need it that much anyways.

    hide box

Is it a good idea to make some sort of hide box for either my veiled or jacksons chameleons. The idea came from seeing my veiled settling in about an hour before lights out. He does not sleep all day hes usually quite active during the day. If its a good idea any suggestions?

    soldier flies

Hello, I bought a large amount of reptiworms almost a month ago. I threw what I thought were dead away and some time later I had soldier flies buzzing around my house. Its not a complete infestation so im not all that worried they rarely fly around me and they have no compost to lay eggs in...

    double stress

I came home from a trip to the store and he looks asleep sideways at 5 in the after noon/night. His color was a lime green until I woke him up. I don't know if he is sick so ill keep an eye on him. BTW I went and got a 15 watt bulb since he is in a small cage and anything more to me would heat...

    double stress

Great news he ate today. I usually cup feed my chameleons by holding the cup for them. He went inside the cup ate most of the crickets and turned a lime green color for a bit. I think he will be fine.

    double stress

I am sure he will be fine. He seems to not be moving much until he was ready to go to sleep about 30 mins before lights out.

    double stress

    Introducing Jackie

I just put the order in for that item. Right now hes in what is a tiny cage for when he is older. But for now its a good size cage for him at this age. I got a package deal from a booth for $125 to get a reptibreeze cage with the lighting and vines a piece of wood a strand of leaves and a full...

    Introducing Jackie

Hello, Today was repticon in my town and I came back with a new pet and a cage setup for him. Here is Jackie my Jackson's chameleon. So far he seems more docile than my veiled, he has not hissed or bit at me while I was making some adjustments to his cage. I took the advise from forum members...

    Thinking about a jackson

Hello, This weekend there is a repticon going on in my town. I am thinking about getting a Jackson if I see one there. I have raised a veiled for a few months and he is really healthy. (It feels like yesterday he was no bigger than my index finger) So I have a few questions about them. How is...

    a free range question

Hello, I open my cage during the day to let my veiled roam the house and climb in a fake tree I have set up by a window. If I have to leave the house is it a bad idea to leave him out if im going to be gone for an hour or 2. My overall house is a small condo that's pretty safe, no places he can...

    cup feeding

As far as the amount they eat, do they get their fill and ignore the rest or are they like bearded dragons and will eat until all prey is gone. My cham seemed to eat so many before moving away.

    cup feeding

Hello, Will it do my veiled harm to cup feed him. I have heard that it can make your pet lazy if you do nothing but cup feed. usually I just pour the crickets into the bottom of his tree and he chases and hunts them down. But a few mins ago I held a cup with some dusted crickets and he seemed...
