I am also curious as to what "sucking her teeth" means. I am assuming it is breathing in without opening the mouth, but that's just what I've gotten out of this.
I've worked retail, as many others have, but there are always days where it's kind of an overload. I agree with kindness goes a...
I have three large dogs and a male veiled cham. I keep my cham in a different room, mainly because it gets the most sunlight and stays at a consistently warm temperature, but occasionally my dogs will follow me in the room when I go to feed the crickets or my cham. So far, I have not had any...
Idoneous doesn't seem to care too much for silkworms. He would eat one from my hand and leave the rest as if they were not good enough for him so I would put them on his vine and later come back to see that he ate one or two.
Two days later, he ate one from my hand and no more. Put two more...
Looking for a job can be a downer whether you have a degree or not. I'm in college and work for a man who discriminates against women and I hate it, but money for school is very important in this day and age...
Have you tried calling them back instead of waiting for the reply??? That's what...
How many do Juvie Veiled eat? Mine has an amazing appetite, but the silkworms I received look a bit large for him. He chews his food well before swallowing. I am going to try handfeeding him the silkworms tomorrow morning, but am not sure on the amount. He eats roughly five medium to large...
Do you dust your silkworms or just let your cham eat them without any supplementation? I dust the crickets with calcium, but am not sure completely if I should do the same with the silkworms.
He's definitely not a huge baby :D
I have been taking as many pictures as I can, but he is still very shy and I have been trying to ease him into trusting me. I can hold him without stress colors, but only for a minute or two.
Thank you for the replies. :)
Just out of curiosity, at what age approximately do male Veiled Chameleons start to show more color?
Idoneous (my male) is 3.5 to 4 months and just finished a shed. He is very faintly showing some coloration of orange, but not noticeably.
I am working with my little Idoneous in hopes to lower his stress towards being handled. He does not hiss or puff up. He only shows stress colors when I hold him at a lower angle. I have been going so slow with him for fear of stressing him out, but I want to make sure that he knows I won't hurt...
I recently received my Veiled that came from FL and arrived in NV. Long journey for a little guy, but he was "packaged" in a little plastic container gently wrapped in a warm paper towel. He was also inside a Styrofoam box that had paper around the little container to limit movement. This...
Thank you for the information! I will try less watering and see if it makes a difference this week. I live in a dry climate so it's hard judging how much to water plants. Determining the humidity for my cham, however, is a lot easier. I appreciate the responses.
I have been watering it every morning. I'll try every other morning and see if that helps. I don't want it to die, but apparently they are hard to kill. Thank you.
Hello everyone,
I just received my lovely juvenile male veiled. He is very healthy and has an amazing appetite.
I am having a little bit of difficulty with my pothos plant. I have read every pothos care information I have been able to find, but I feel like it is drooping more than it...
