My Cham likes my dog... My dog is a small jack russel/beagle mix and when it is in the room my chameleon goes to the bottom of his cage and starts trying to stick his tongue through the screen to eat my dog lol.

You should be fine for a couple days.. I wouldn't procrastinate to much at getting lights , but yes for a couple days you shouldn't have any problem. Natural sunlight is just so GREAT for them and 4 or 5 hours a day is sufficient. :)
