    sexing pygmies

Hi all! At what age can pigmy chams be sexed? I sometimes see pygmies with only a couple of months and by the length of their tails they seem clearly males or females... am I wrong? Thanks!

I completely agree, that's why I asked for some expert opinion on this. Which I received. A few people raised some important issues that made me quit this idea (unlike those guys with the fishes). Like I said before, if I didn't care I wouldn't ask... Did I want to receive other kind of...

What? If I was going to do that, why would even lose my time asking?? I would just do it, it's not like you can enter my house and stop me! But, like most, I also share a bond with my cham, that's why I asked... But I like the fact that you assume to know me so well... Well, first...

I didn't say I was not going to listen. I'm listening and to tell you the truth I probably won't mix the species. :o I just like to have a reason. Theoretically it had good chances of working (see first post), but the fact that they're from diferent parts of the world is putting an end to this...

caresheet For those who don't know the species, here's the caresheet: http://www.gekkota.com/html/lepidodactylus_lugubris.html I also seen in a gecko's forum someone who had a 1.1 Brev group with 0.2 and it was working... But I always like to hear everyone's opinion...

Hi all! I know this is usually not endorsed here, but I read somewhere in Chameleons Online that some people keep Pygmies and small Geckos together with sucess. I have a 46 gal (exoterra 60x60x45), can I have a 1.2 pygmy group and a 0.1 or 0.2 CB Lepidodactylus lugubris together? Their temp...

    WHat am I doing wrong~??

Take this advice: in the future, do a lot of research in the web before buying an animal, because you just can't trust people in pet stores. I'm planning on buying a group of geckos in November or December and I've been collecting info for the last couple of weeks because when the time comes...

    food beyond movement.

Hi all! Technical question: Can a pygmy cham see a prey without the prey moving? Let's say I have a dark cricket against a clear background or glass. The cricket is still. Can the Pyg identify the cricket even tough it's not moving? Thanks.

    Male vs Female Veiled.

Don't females get egg bound making them harder to care too?

    2 males?

So, for a breeding project, I need 2 enclosures both with a 1.2 or 1.3 population and I can cross breed the second generation at will? How many generations can I go with this kind of setups? Thnx.
