Hey guys, My family and I are going on a road trip from the Bay Area to Tacoma, WA for about a week. My chameleon is free range but is also used to smaller road trips and he is not caged during the trip unless he goes in it. He is a panther who is 14 months. Do you guys think its ok to take...

    Food help

Hey guys My chameleon is pretty much refusing to eat anything but meal worms. I know thats not good. I've tried giving him Dubai roaches and he just stared at them. And I tried going back to crickets and he's only eaten a small few. I'm not sure of what else to try that is accessible around...

    Hemipenal prolapse.

I think you should take him to a vet. My panther had a prolapse and it was red like the picture you posted. He has also had sperm plugs that kinda looked like he had worms but it fell off. It was a white color. The safest thing to do would be to call your sisters vet. Good luck!

    poop

Well Crewdogg15 I'd have to say that sounds kinda nasty too if you put it that way! LOL! I am just glad to know that this is normal. Mini B is my first Chameleon and I love him sooo much!

    poop

I kinda dont want to starve him either. I am going to try the silkworms and see how that works out. I just kind of thought that he was supposed to eat crickets mostly but to hear that I am not the only one who has the same "issue" so to speak is good. Thank you for your insight!!!! :D

    poop

Thank you for your answer. He is almost 9 months old. And I made the mistake of giving them to him as meals so now he doesn't want to eat the crickets. Maybe one or two every few days but he will eat those worms in huge amounts if I let him. What do you suggest that I do to get him back on track?

    poop

Today my chameleon Mini B pooped and it was not runny but it looked a little different, soft like but still terdy. He normally eats a mixture of crickets and meal worms but lately he has only been interested in the meal worms. Is that normal? And if it is, would it change the look of his poop?

    Basking Question

Just this week but he still kinda goes between the two although he prefers to roam the house. We keep the house at a minimum of 73 degress and we also live upstairs so during the day its warmer.

MBD, what are signs of it?

I have read some on this subject but am not getting enough info on it. Can anyone tell me the dummy explination of MBD? Also, can you tell me how to look for signs. I have seen pics of chams who supposedly have it but they are not close enough for me to see them good. Thanks!

    Basking Question

Now that I think of it, it has been some time since he last shed. Maybe a month. When they are about his age (7 months) do they shed as much as when they were babies?
