I just started using Roaches. I got mine from www.holygrailgeckos.com under the feeders list. They are about the cheapest I could find with shipping. Might try breeding some roaches myself in summer.
What I did was get the 100 watt ceramic emitter and use the zoo med fixture that has the dimmer switch on it and dialed it down to the right temp. Seemed to work fine.
Is there a certain age you can start feeding them with it? Would you use it at every feeding or just a couple times a week that's if you dust your crickets with it.
Thanks for all the help. I thinned out some of the branches a bit so it's easier to climb around and I also added some lower thinner branches and one that extends to the floor so he can climb out. I will try and add a few pothos plants to the bottom. I was worried with so much foilage he won't...
Since the UVB light only penetrates 12" down into the cage I thought it would be better to keep him towards the top of the cage and not having him crawl around on lower plants.
