    aquazamp/mistking nozzles

So I was looking to replace the nozzles on my aquazamp raindome only to find that their website is down and their facebook hasn't been used in months. Tried to look on the mistking website for the part. Found the part, but only to find that you have to have a $10 minimum purchase and also it...

    My new Monsoon

Very nice. I've since purchased the Aquazamp system. My Monsoon system went freaky on me. The timing system would turn on and wouldn't turn off. It would drain the whole tank. I'd come home with the pump running bone dry. I'd unplug it, reset it, and it'd do it again. So I just purchased a...

I got mine from Kevin at the local reptile expo here in SoCal. Awesome guy. Great product. My Panther loves it. A 1000% improvement from the Monsoon I previously had.

    Timers, need shorter duration

The timer I got with my Aquazamp Raindome works perfect. They sell it on their website for like $30.

    My new Monsoon

I suppose u could do that if u wanted. I was going to weigh the tube down but I haven't had any problems like I thought I would with the floating tube. After some use it sank on it's own.

    My new Monsoon

I don't think a timer would work. When the power is turned back on, the unit is in it's "off" mode. So essentially, you'd have to turn it back on manually. Which defeats the whole purpose of having a timer in the first place. My setup cycles every 6 hours. It's been set this way for a couple...

    My new Monsoon

Actually it's not even a problem. In the pic of my setup you can see I have a fake plant hanging from the roof of the cage. I direct the nozzles to hit that and I have no problems with unwanted over spray whatsoever.

    My new Monsoon

Hmm.. ok, I'll turn it up a bit for him. He doesn't seem to be having any trouble so far. The mist is very fine and the system is fairly quiet. My bedroom shares a wall with my Panthers room and I don't hear a thing. There are some videos on Youtube that show the spray...

    My new Monsoon

I have mine set at 30 second durations at 8 hour intervals. I don't think that's enough moisture for me to consider a drainage system yet. I'll see over a couple of days how wet it gets.

    My new Monsoon

There's a wire that runs from the unit to what I think is a power converter, or surge protecter, then to the wall.

    My new Monsoon

So I just purchased the Exo Terra Monsoon misting system. So far so good. The hardest part was deciding where to install the nozzles. The system can be set to frequency (from once and hour to once a day) and duration (from 2 seconds to 2 minutes). This system can support up to 6 nozzles but...

what did you get at the fair(pomona)

This is my first post as a new member! I bought my whole setup and a 5 month old male Ambanja from FL Chams, Inc. From what I understand he's supposed to be turquoise with purple bands. We'll see later on what he's gonna look like. Question: All I have is a 60 Watt bulb for heat. You...
