My veiled's basking light broke, so I went to the store to replace it. I was in a hurry, so I just grabbed a heat lamp that looked like the one I had... however, when I got home, I realized it was an infrared heat bulb... not a basking light.
Can this even be used? Or should I just return it...
Hey guys, she still has yet to lay her eggs. She did shed earlier this week. She has become pretty aggressive. She looks like she has gotten bigger (but this is more length wise versus fat), but when she does get aggressive and goes "flat," you don't see any eggs or anything. Although, sometimes...
My chameleon is about 6 months old. Today, she jumped from a vine only about 4 or 5 inches down onto a plant. She didn't seem hurt by it or anything, and it didn't seem like she slipped... do chameleons generally do this? or is this something I need to worry about?

Where can I get liquid calcium? Also, how many days should it take for her to lay the eggs? Is it normal to take more than one day or should I be worried if she doesn't lay them tonight.
Additionally, should her UVB light and basking light be avaliable while she is in the laying bin? Or just...
I got my veiled chameleon about a month ago. She has been doing great. However, she has begun to be less enthusiastic about eating (she usually bolts right to her food, but lately she will stare at it for awhile and eventually make her way down to eat it). She also has been sitting lower on her...
My chameleon is pretty young. She doesn't eat her meal worms, but devours her crickets. She snacks on some plants, too. I was wondering if she would be too young to eat small superworms? She is the size of my photo. Thanks.
I just got my first chameleon. she is a baby veiled chameleon. I have heard mixed things from people involving handling her. I am terrified that I am going to stress her out. she turns pretty light green when she comes out. and usually in her cage, she is blending into the sticks and is a pretty...
