Hi some one said my chameleon was Gravid so I set up the laying bin but she still is in the plant

I have a female veiled chameleon and she is gravid so I put a laying bin (5 gallon bucket 50/50 sand and soil and have a plant in there to) and she is just staying in the plant and not going to the soil just basking in the plant-- what should I do????

Does this laying bin for my female veiled chameleon look right? About ten inches deep of 50/50 sand and dirt

I'm not sure if my Veiled Chameleon is boy/girl and would you know how old he is/ heres some pics:)
