my male Panther will not eat dubias. I have gotten him to eat a few by hand feeding. When he has eaten them from my hand he just sort of left it half is his mouth not wanting to swallow.
Any ideas on getting him to eat them? I don't want to withhold food for a few days. How would you like it...
My 4 month (17 weeks to be exact) ambilobe panther looks so big when compared to others on the site. I got him when he was 4 inches and was told he was hatched in the middle of May. Being only 4 inches and healthy he couldn't have been much older than the breeder told me he was.
So here's...
I thought I would post another picture of my ambilobe panther chameleon. The breeder told me his DOH was 5/15/14 so that makes Jellybean 4 months yesterday! He was 4 inches (tip to tip) when I got him. Now he's 11 inches! that a lot of growing!
Any thoughts on his adult colors? :D
I was misting my 5 month old male panther and he pooped... No big deal.. Then he...ah.. how do I put this..got "excited" and... Ahh..finished on a branch :o
Has this happened to any of you?
I understand there is a " Wanted" section but when the last time so one has looked at that? I figured more people would see this here :
I am looking for a reputable carpet chameleon breeder. :)
Does anyone know of any?
I got a nice hibiscus in the beginning of summer and would love to put in it my new 24x24x48 cage. I know they require A LOT of sunlight to thrive. With that being said, do you think 4, 24watt, 22in, H.O T5 fluorescents will be enough light? Boy that's a mouthful
If need be I can add...
Any ideas to get a heavy wax plant to hang in a 48" screen cage? I'm not sure that the frame will support hanging it from the screen, so that's out....
Any ideas are much appreciated!! :)
Any tips on getting my panther to eat dubias? Since they don't move much in the feeding bowl my chameleon doesn't seem to be interested in eating them. I hope I don't have a panther that doesn't like them. Since I got 100 mixed a few days ago and already love them. The males are a little creepy...
I've been busy with work (12-16 hour shifts) but today I was able to get some pics of my ambilobe panther. They aren't the best because he wasn't cooperating :D. His colors are really coming in and he has grown 2.5 inches in a week
Here's a picture of my blue bar ( now I know! :D:D) ambilobe panther. He's coming at the end of being 11 weeks old. His color is getting stronger by the day!! :D
Let's see some baby pictures new chameleon owners!! :p
After some consideration and talking to a few people on here aswell as my fiancé ( for premission :D) I am going to keep a very small dubia roach colony. Seeing as they can't climb, jump, or infest my house or smell like cricket's. What is the smallest colony I can keep for one panther chameleon...
I thought I'd share a picture of my now 11 week old ambilobe panther. He already doesn't like the camera! :D sorry about my finger! I had to move quick!!
What gut loaders do you use for your different feeders? For crickets I use fluckers dry with calcium added and then I add calcium to the water I use to hydrate my water crystals. I don't know if it adds a substantial amount of calcium. A little is better than none, no? :o I have such a hard time...
Right before I went to mist my 10 week old panther he decided to bend his head down and bite one of his fake vines. He didn't injest anything, but this is the second time I've seen him do this. Could it be from lack of giving a multivitamin? I would rather vary his diet and take him outside on...
I really DON'T want to feed my panther a staple of crickets. They escape, are hard to catch, and smell..you all know! I see that a lot of people like to feed silkworms as a staple. I don't have the time to raise silks and I am willing to pay the extra few dollars to use butterworms. Seeing...
At what age were you able to tell if you had a blue bar or red bar ambilobe panther? For that matter, when it comes to genetics which is the dominate trait? My little guy has some blue toward the middle and almost black at the top. He is only 10 weeks though.
