My male cham is almost 2 years old now. When I clean out the cage, he's become more and more comfortable with coming out and climbing around my hand/arm. Lately, he's been I gyrating on my hand. My question is, are they like dogs when they hump your leg, but in this case, my hand lol ?
can anyone recommend a camera/video system that monitors my chams day? I assume it would be a security type cam, or a Go-cam. Just wonder if anyone else has something rigged around their enclosure. I feel I'm missing some good things, specially when my wife buys a worm or 2 and gives it to him...
I'm thinking about going to an upcoming expo by me (these things are rare for the metro NY area). What should i expect at the expo? I assume animals/supplies for sale. But what else goes on there ?
I posted how Petco has gorgeous baby Panthers for sale. IF, I get the urge and buy another enclosure and a panther, what am I in for ? I've had my veiled for almost a year now. He's healthy and flourishing with us (hope I don't jinx him). I know to read up more if I decide to get a panther. But...
4 or 5 gorgeous Panther babies. 150 each. Sounds too good to be true price wise. Tho they do look healthy. They didn't say male/female or what kind of panther they are.
Starting my guy on dubia roaches today. whats the equivalent of 10-15 crickets. what I'm saying is, give him more or less or the same amount of roaches i would give him crickets ? same nutritional value ?
around his cage. Guess him staying in one place would be a bad thing, right ?
he goes from top to bottom, specially when we (my family) are eating dinner. He comes around n watches, guess he wants to be part of the crowd. But the "doing laps" thing is normal right ?
and this guy is doing great. Got him from Petco, for 70$ and he looks like a Million $$. the kids love him and he's as spoiled as they are. Just posting pix.
So, just sent from "small" crickets to "large" crickets for my veiled cham Chuckie-Boo (my 2.5 year old named him). The best surprise I got from the large crickets? The chirping sounds at night. I finally got the country life in my NYC apartment ! Anyway, just wanted to share.
My veiled is approx 6-7 months old. Healthy. Good eater. I give him 10-12 (on the smaller side) crickets a day. Should I be giving him crickets every other day? Or can I continue feeding him every day ?
I know I've seen a few posts about em. Any tips for keeping them alive in an enclosure. I guess I shoulda prefaced this with "are they safe for chameleons" ?
I didn't really account for the temp situation when it came to my AC being on. Warmer weather is here, so the AC went on, and i noticed his temps were lower. Ive read that a good idea is to put shower curtain plastic on the sides to keep the temps good n the cold air out. MY Question, how many...
My veiled is having his second shed (since I've had him). I should have written it down (his habits during his first shed) but he's eating a little less than normal. Is that part of the shedding process? Change in habits?
So had to take Chuckie-Boo (3-4 month old veiled) out of his cage to clean it and boy was he not happy. The darkest green I've seen yet. He actually "attacked" me as I tried to take him out. Gave him my finger for a minute or two, but he wasn't having it. The cage is clean n he is back inside...
I have a veiled who is about 3-4 months old. I give him anywhere from 10-12 crickets a day. Is this a good amount. I know he can eat more, is he at an age where give him as much as he can eat? or limit it. I also tried superworms a few times, but, he's not into em.
