is it okay to feed the beetles that the mealworms turn into??? or are they bad?

i just bought a jacksons chameleon and i noticed that the joints on his arms and legs( elbows and knees) are a light brownish color...is that natural??? what is is? should i be worried? hes drinking fine and eating fine
