One of my chameleons, an eight month old veiled, is laying her first clutch of (infertal) eggs today. She seems to be having problems, maybe, or perhaps I'm just being paranoid. She has been digging all day, I can hear her scratching on the plastic of her lay bin. But she never came out of her...
His eyes just look....odd....he's not blind but there is definatly something off. Anyone else seen anything like this before?

So I'm not really sure but a baby hatched today and something looks wrong.... like he came out of his egg but his eyes are sunken. Kinda like dehydrated. But I'm not sure he even has eyes. Hasn't opened them or anything. Is it a birth defect or is he sick...any ideas...
My chameleon: June. Female veiled chameleon. About 3 or 4 years old. Not exactly sure. I've had her for about a year and a half.
Handling: Not very often. Maybe once or twice a week.
Feeding: Mainly crickets. Also mealworms, waxworms, praying mantisis. And some wild caught moths in the...
So I found out that I am pregnant. I know that many reptiles can carry salmonella and I was just wondering if I have anything to worry about. I love my chameleons but I would never want to harm my baby.
Okay. So I'm kinda new to breeding chameleons, I acquired her and her mate from an idiot who had them in the same cage together, so I had to learn quickly. My eggs began hatching last week, and I now have 26 healthy baby chameleons, plus 18 eggs that still haven't hatched. But there is 2 others...
After 7 and a half months of waiting my babies have begun to hatch. They started hatching last Wednesday and since then I have had 16 perfect little babies hatch. They are precious. This is the first time I have every had baby chameleons and I have a couple questions. About how long will it take...
Tonight I went to check on my eggs. This is my first clutch and I'm really not sure how to tell if they will begin to hatch soon. My veiled chameleon laid her eggs on April 11th so that puts them at about 7.5 months. I haven't noticed any sweating but I touched a few of them and a couple felt...
Thought this was cool. Whatcha think? Both of mine do this. But only she is comfortable enough to for this with me in the room

I was just wondering if it was normal for my female cham to not eat much while she's receptive.. she is normally a little piggy and eats everything within about a minute of being put into her cage. But the last few days she has still had some crickets in her cage. She is normally like this when...
I've been doing a lot of research online about what fruit and veggies I can feed my veiled chameleons. But I've also read about fruits and veggies that are toxic to chameleons. However, I can't ever find a list that says what these toxic foods are, only that I should avoid feeding them to my...
So I was wondering if this was wierd... both of my chameleons drink outta a water dish. Both of the dishes have fish tank bubblers in them. I was just wondering if this was normal. I had just read everywhere that they wouldn't even understand what a water dish was but mine do.
My cham finally laid her clutch =) and seeing as I've never done this before I was just wondering if she is suppoised to be super dark after having them? Shes not black, just really dark, kinda like a dark moss green with brown.
Okay, so I've only had my (actually my boyfriend's) chameleons for about 2 weeks and I think my female is gravid. But I dunno how far along she is but shes grown quite a bit since we got her. I have the laying bin set up, shes wandered in it at least once that I've noticed (this morning), and...
