How long should I wait before moving a cham into a freshly painted room? Is 48 hours enough? I have a male veiled a year and a few months old Thanks!

In about two years I may or may not be moving to Japan. I havent decided yet. Ideally, I'd like to take my cham with me. Does anyone have any advice or experience on moving a cham so far and into a foreign country? I can imagine sitting on a plane that long would be quite unpleasent, if I can...
