What's the suggested amount of crickets to keep on hand if you aren't planning on breeding right away and what size container do you keep them in? Do you put holes in the lid or is the seal loose enough for some air for them?
Any links to old threads or pics of cricket tubs would be helpful =)...
I got my Monsoon and I've been doing some test runs with it so I have the right schedule when my veiled arrives. Before the mister was used, I was getting steady 58% humidity, but since installing the mister it has dropped to about 40% sometimes less. I'm using the humidity gauge that came with...
Trying to get everything set up so I can order my baby veiled! I got my 5.0 bulb today and I'm waiting for FedEx to get here with the Monsoon.
I've spent the day monitoring temps and making sure it's not too hot. I bought a clamp lamp with a dimmer, I love it! First it was basking at about...
I should be getting my monsoon and lights in the mail today for my set up, Ive got an exo-terra glass terrarium 18x18x24 and eventually it will house a baby veiled. It's been really humid outside and the gauge reads about 60% humidity with just a pothos sitting in there with no mist. My question...
This is the only exotic pet insurance I can find (US). I'm not sure the monthly cost, I have not called them yet since I don't have my chameleon. Just thought I'd share the link for all those who want to look into it...
Has anyone tried these? I have to use a glass enclosure, especially in winter, as my apartment can be extremely drafty. (I will have a large screen enclosure also on the patio for nice summer days, and plan on letting him free roam some plants inside when he gets a little bigger) I haven't...
I've been reading about gutloading and there's some pretty interesting ingredients.. where would i buy bee pollen, alfalfa powder, kelp powder ?? Alfalfa is plentiful around here.. but fresh, not powdered. lol
I see a lot of people posting about what they use for gutloading and feeding veiled chameleons, but are there fruits and veggies that should be avoided?
A couple weeks ago I emailed their customer care concerned for their veiled's well being. The temps and humidity were way off and the 4 little guys they had in there just looked awful. I went in today and they had taken action! There was a dripper installed (granted it dripped into a bowl, but...
Is there any reputable and affordable pet insurers that cover chameleons?
My bf had a dog that got really sick, they paid almost 90% of the cost for his emergency bill and was only like $8/mo..
I will be getting a veiled soon and was wondering the correct schedule for dusting the feeders. I know I need calc, calc+d3 and a multi-vit but I am unsure how often to use them?
I will be getting my first veiled chameleon by the end of the month and I just want to make sure I have everything I need for him before he gets here. Pictured is what I have so far. It's a Exo Terra medium kit 18x18x24 (yes, I realize when baby gets a little bigger he'll need a bigger...
Hello! I'm going to be getting a veiled chameleon in a few weeks and it will be my first. I've been doing a lot of research on habitats and care for them so he will be healthy and happy. I've visited the local pet stores around here and I'm concerned because they aren't caring for them the way...
