We moved our chameleon to the quietest area of our house yesterday, this morning I walked in and she turned Halloween at me. Could she just have been mad/startled or is it likely she is carrying her first eggs? She is 4-5 months old, Panther chameleon. She does seem more full but I couldn't get...
So we are supposed to dust twice a month, I was just wondering how much.
It says on the container 12 crickets per 2.5oz of body weight, but she weighed 8 grams when we took her to the vet last week.
We finally got everything set up for her, we have some free ranging crickets and we feed her them from tweezers until we can rig a bowl up for her. She seems much happier. I have to say I LOVE Chameleon's Northwest. They live close to us and are letting us borrow this smaller enclosure until she...
Our little chameleon just fell asleep with her face under her dripper so it's just sitting there dripping on her close mouth/nose area. Is that normal?
We got the 24"x24"x48" and we even put a 150 basking bulb on top because it's so large and 10" down it isn't even 70 degrees! What is going on? What can I do to raise the temp?
When we first got our chameleon we left a light on at night for heat, the past two nights I've turned it off (after getting advice on here to turn it off) and she sleeps to go straight to sleep until I turn it back on in the morning (of course I don't know the in between hours since I'm not...
Since our little girl's new cage will be here tomorrow we wanted to get her a ficus this weekend, are there any places I should avoid getting one or does it not matter much? Also I need to cover the dirt with rocks, right?
I've read the white in their poop is normal for pee, so what is this liquid? I was holding her, trying to get her to eat, and it came out. Also she seems really skinny to me.
Sorry I am posting so much, I don't know nearly enough.
Is it normal for a Chameleon to wake up super dark compared to their normal color? I am getting very worried, her new enclosure doesn't come until tomorrow and she still hasn't been eating except the first day she was here she ate one cricket and then the third she ate 3 worms. We are on day 6...
How often should my panther chameleon be eating? Right now all we have are meal worms, wax worms, crickets, and flightless fruit flies but I just placed an order for butter worms.
Also where can I find silk worms? I live in Washington. Do I need to order those online too?
Is there a way to figure out how old our little Panther Chameleon is?
Here are some pictures of her.. I figured you all would have a better idea :)
She is our first Chameleon, we've only had her four days so I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of everything for her.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Female Panther Chameleon, not sure on exact age but young. We've had her for 4 days now.
Handling - Not very often, we take her out for a a minute or two at a time maybe twice a day.
Feeding - We have been feeding her gut-loaded small crickets...
