So it turns out my 2 male axolotls were NOT 2 males, haha. Babies everywhere. Would anyone be interested in an axolotl? I would really love to find good homes for them. I live in north-central WV but I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance to home them!
These axolotls have a "wild"...
So as our little beeb is growing we are noticing that their horns are not. A few people on the forums think that our male might be a female. Now I know with female chams you needs laying bins for non-fertile eggs but since Jackson's give live birth, I wouldn't need to do this, is that correct...
Hey everyone! Just got our first axolotls yesterday! They are settling in nicely but I wanted to know if anyone had any tips for keeping them! Things that you won't find on standard caresheets. Thanks!
Meet Jabberwocky and Fable!
We got our baby Jacksons at (supposedly) 3 months old. We've had him for 2 months and I feel like he should be farther along in how he is growing. Also, his horns haven't changed size and he still has his baby coloration. I guess what I'm asking is if this is normal and if anyone has a reference...
Greetings friends! It's been a long, LONG time since I've posted here, but we've decided to become cham parents again, so here I am! :p
This is Tango! He's male Jackson's and about 3 months old! He's doing very well! His only "issue" is that he will only eat fruit flies and is no longer...
Thought I'd share this with everyone :)
Everyone knows about the cham addiction: You get one and then you need more! Well, we don't really have the ability to get more than one so I've been obsessing in other ways. Besides doodling chams all over my notebooks, I did 2 of my final projects this...

It's a Fluker's Hot Rock (Small sized). Bought it for a chameleon so it was never used! Lol! We know better now =)
Getting ready to carve pumpkins soon! I was wondering if the gross-ness that is inside a pumpkin would be a good gutload for crickets. I know we're going to have a ton of it so might as well use it for something, lol.
I bought a camera for my birthday this summer. It had a great macro mode on it so I could get some good pics of our Senegal. But every time I'd go to take a picture today, he'd lunge at it and try to climb on top of it. It wasn't aggressive at all, he just wanted to stand on it. Didn't think...
I'm currently enrolled in a web design class and our final project is to design a 5-10 page website on a topic of our choosing. I chose an information site on little Senegals because darn it, they are awesome, lol.
I know all of the basic stuff like housing, food, etc. What I'm looking for...
We bought a roll of jute (twine, whatever you want to call it, lol) and braided it together to make a sort of home-made vine for our cham. It's thick enough and sturdy enough to hold his weight, so that's not an issue, but I guess I'm trying to ask if this is ok. I've seen some pics of other...
I've been on the forums a few months now and have learned SO much about chams. I've read a lot of threads on egg laying and hatching because it's just so interesting but I can't seem to find a thread that explains from start to finish what exactly happens. Would anyone be able to spell it out...
