What a pretty little fella, but the fact that he closes his eyes while the lights are on is a little bit concerning. I would suggest to pass on him, but that is up to you. In my experiences when I see chameleons closes their eyes like that, it mostly end in the result of death. Poor dude :c

I agree with bearded. If its gonna be around kids. I feel like geckos, there is a chance that they can drop their tail and that might cause a scene. My other suggestion would be like anoles, they reminds me of little velociraptors.

Sorry, I haven't seen or experience anything outside of drylock and silicone. But if you don't mind me asking, how big the enclosure is? and are you planning on making a substrate walls?

I've never used that product before, but for all my bioactive foams walls, I just use clear silicone to attach substrates on them. But with silicone I tend to let it cure or air out for about 1 or 2 days.

My answer to that is yes, but if you are short on money I would suggest find a spot where he bask and put the UVB lamp near that spot since that will mimic the sun in the wild for them, and once you have enough money to upgrade, I suggest you upgrade right away.

They for sure require both, but in my experience chameleon tends to use horizontal room more than vertical. The vertical part is for them to adjust themselves to the environment such as getting away from heat or basking, or run from predators (aka us).

Oh, also I usually let the plant root itself for about 1 week to a month after moving it to a new pot/area. Just to make sure that can have a strong root structure to hold some of the chameleon's weight depending on the species you are getting.

You can change the pot, but usually I used the plant in a bioactive environment.

No problem, homedepot usually have all of those plants just make sure to washed the leaves and change the substrates.

Plants that I enjoy using the most is schefflera, pothos and philodendron for vines,Calatheas, and parlor palm as acccent plants

Another thing I found to be super helpful with plants atleast to where I lived is a fogger at night, increasing high humidity at night really help my plants to flourish
