Perhaps a bit crude but why not try to rehome at least a few of those to someone who is financially able to care for them ? Going to sound rude, but a rescue isn't a rescue if you can't afford the proper care too. Sometimes our hearts and wallets don't match.

I've had our veiled throw up a super worm before and today just after he ate the biggest super worm I went to put him back in the cage and noticed in one of his feces a complete shell of a previous super worm. This had me really concerned over impactions like mealworms.

I just looked it up and I think you have something backwards as it looks like it uses johnnie guest fittings. Those are the types you just push the hose into

Assuming it's a standard compression fitting unscrew the cap there stick your tubing through the hole and then screw it back on. There may be a ferrule that pushes into the end of the tube once you feed it through the cap. I've never messed with the system you're using just standard plumbing advice.

If it's 1/8 or 1/4 inch tubing just use a brand new razor blade and don't squeeze the tube when you cut. just pass the razor through clean.
