My males are all showing no interest in the females even though they're fully receptive. I'm in San Diego CA. and need to borrow a stud that's of decent quality and 100% true to Blue Bar Ambilobe locality. Lets work this out!

Thanks to modern DNA analysis, the same Swedish team behind the color change study this year has also released and published it's findings showing that there are multiple species of F. Pardalis (Panther chameleons) You're looking at up to 11 different groups depending on how you look at it...

I think I've got a mixed group of jacksonii ssp. from the SD supershow. The males I can figure out on my own but I was wondering of the ease of ID for a group of subadult females? I'm pretty sure I have a jacksonii, jacksonii pair but I'd like to get the ID nailed down. Any experts out...

Whoops, I mean to have the subject say "I'll deliver!" All of these have been raised on my own gutload mix (high protein / calcium / vitamin mix formulated for chameleons) and fresh fruit as their moisture. I can provide a mix of sizes with a good sex ratio. Get your own feeders started or use...

I got too many B. Dubia Roaches!!! and want to get rid of at least half my lot. They're well fed and I'll include a mix of sizes and sexes. I've provided them with a high protein / calcium / vitamin mix as the dry food coupled with fruits and melons for the water source. get your own feeders...

Oh can you say CORRUPTION This is nothing short of a ecological holocaust given the Korean perspective on preserving the environment or upon animal issues. 1.3m hectares for industrial farming without a cent going to the people of Madagascar or for the preservation of the remaining...

I just wanted to let everyone know that the San Diego Herp Society is going to have a special (money saving) event this Thursday (8.28.08) If you've ever had to spend lots of your hard earned cash to pay for fecal checks on a new or sick animal. then you'll be happy to know that they're...

I been fielding a few calls from people in the last few months regarding their animals health issues. Specifically: Lack of overall muscle tone Tongue retraction issues (swallowed tongue?) Chameleons not "shooting" but walking up and attempting to bit prey? After looking around and...

WOW. I saw Lara Logon on the daily show last night and was impressed with this reporter. video link

In prep for the supershow.... some might wanna know. It was one thing when all of my mexican friends refused to go down to Tijuana anymore ("because I ain't stupid" was the common reply last year) It's another to have close to a hundred average americans snatched off the street, raped...

Something about these guys seem very comedic to me. http://www.franksaquarium.com/shellie.htm

Just an FYI I got word that the T-Rex "cutting edge herpetological conference" http://cuttingedgeofherps.com just got canceled. They're pushing it back to next year after realizing it was "too complex" to put on. Someone that I know heard directly from one of the T-Rex people on that...

They're not going to make any big fuss over this one Ever since china got all in a huff over "just some pets" that got killed off. the USA is only alerting people if children's health is directly involved. Due their their tradition of adding poisonous substances to food in order fake passing...

There's and interesting study regarding what old science as thought of as a single species of girafffe. Recent DNA analysis has provided evidence that the large grouping of all into a single species is incorrect. There are many distinct species that have been undergoing hybridization in zoos...

I wanted to share some thoughts on this subject. but first some background might be worth mentioning. Weather people realize it or not, the role of mycological life in the biosphere is extensive, pervasive and often goes unnoticed by us humans. Many organisms actually depend upon...

I love the intertubes http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Papaya+Flower+Beetle

Now I realize how silly this is going to seem right from the start but I've been wondering about something I've noticed. Has anyone else noticed that adult cats aren't all that interested in adult or sub adult chameleons I've tried to do a bit of searching here and there but wanted to get a...

For those that have checked the Mulberry Farms website You can see that they've been evacuated for a few days now Due to the uncontained witch creek fire But there's now a NEW Fallbrook fire that is burning just North of their silkworm site by less than 1.5 mile(s) as of 2PM today LINK I...

I remember a few years ago locating a bulk supplier of silkworm feed and after reading about how many people are raising their own home grown I wanted to dig up that link and perhaps offer a group buy for silk feed Being that winter is starting to happen many (all?) of us are going to be...

I'm not advertising for anyone (not unless they start paying me :) ) But I had to share, This is one of their throw away hold backs that makes me wonder what's in store a year from now. It also brings up that whole topic of crossing locals (another thread) But I believe that this...
