Country wide shortage of distilled water???

Check out industrial supplies. Plenty of spots that sell distilled or DI water. Stop thinking "food" and start thinking "cleaning" or "production".

    RO Water

Hi, can anyone tell me if I should be remineralising my RO water before using it for my chameleon? I've been using it without really thinking but mine is always 0 TDS as it's for a reef tank. I know humans aren't supposed to drink 0 TDS water as it can pull salts out of our bodies through...

...RO filters for my aquariums fish and a 5 stage is more than enough. Note that you will have a lot of waste water. For every one gallon of RO water you will waste about 5 gallons of water in the process. And if you are not constantly using it, they will clog. Unless your tap water is bad, a...

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

Do you have an aquarium store in your area? It’s my understanding that they sell RO water at a good price.

Yes. I’ve been using the Sansi 70w lights for all of my enclosures. Same RO water even from same reservoir as Kali and Jack were side by side and on the same Mist King. I put a pothos in Jack’s enclosure and oh my goodness! It grew crazy wild all over and I had to keep cutting it back so he had...

3 stage HMA filters takes most of the solubles and heavy metals from hard water, you can also get chloro-amine resin filters if your on ground water mains. without the side effects like removal of minerals from drinking RO water no need to add minerals back to the water to compensate to.

    Rain maker water

Yeah I have always used distilled water in my misters , I don't have easy access to ro, ( unless I put a system in , I have my own distiller at home which wasn't expensive, ( it depends on how easy access you have to it vs electric and time to wait on it distilled, I worked out £25 for 30...

...unbalanced tap water, could cause issues. I have a good friend who is an orchid connoisseur, and he intentionally adds tap water to his RO water in order to add minerals back into the water, but just enough that it doesn't burn his sensitive palnts. I agree RO systems are pretty wasteful...

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

I just happened to glance at the label of the water jug I’m filling (is RO water making day) and found it interesting. I had bought it at Aldi’s primarily because I needed more bottles. I don’t know how all purified water is actually purified, but this one says how on the label.

    Mistking Spraying, not misting

If you use filtered water like distilled or ro water won't happen. If your using unfiltered water you'll have to clean regularly and replace sooner. I have some heads that have been running for 1.5 years with no cogs. But I only us ro water

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

I run reef aquariums so I've used a number of 'distillers' over the years. Look for a RO (Reverse Osmosis) system, or an RO/DI (Reverse Osmosis/De-Ionizing) system. You'll save a ton in the long run if you can set one up. A good option for the buck is the RO Buddy system, they're affordable and...

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

Use the filtered water dispensers at grocery stores, or buy a RO system for $70-100. I found I was spending $5 or more a week on water, so spending the $80 on an RODI system for my house made more sense in the long term.

Ok, yeah my water is definitely not balanced it used to be really good comes from a lake that is fed from snow melt and a river but a couple years it got really hot really fast and caused the bad green algae to grow, so now they put so much chlorine in it it literally gives me Heartburn. That's...
