    A few questions.

I’m going to advise using better water. You can use the ReptiSafe to remove things like chlorine and what not, but the minerals remain and will clog your Mist King and fogger. Making reverse osmosis (aka RO) water is pretty easy. I hook one of these up to my kitchen faucet when I need to make...

What water to use in MistKing

If you can unscrew the aerator (end of the faucet), you can install this. For example, I usually have a normal aerator on my sink, but my fridge water needed to be unhooked, so I attached a Pur filter. When I need to make RO water again, I’ll remove the Pur filter and attach this. Easy peasy.

...branches outside today, I noticed one of the little froggies looking really sad and thin. It’s pretty chilly out and of couse only going to get colder at night. Poor guy was like a frogsicle. He is now in a little bin with some clean plants, fresh RO water and a dish of mealworms for the night.

What water to use in MistKing

I’ve always used regular tap, hard water. I have to take the front of the nozzles off and clean them with vinigar a couple times a year is all. Also, I learned in my aquarium days that if you let water sit for 24 hours it will dissipate the chlorine out and not have to use water stabilizer when...

Have you ever had an issue with the actual mistking having issues with tap water? Or just the nozzles?

    white dots on chameleon skin

If using RO water this won't be the problem but dissolved solids in municipal mains water can remain on chams skin after its evaporated especially if it's hard water and unfiltered 👍

    Rain maker water

Most drinking water (not spring water) sold in gallon jugs in stores is RO water. I used to use only distilled in my misting systems but with the recent shortages I have been running a mix of distilled and RO gallons. I have had no visible build up on the nozzles so far after a year of use.

    Tamura Designs Ventilation

I love the look of that acrylic enclosure but I wonder how hard it is to keep that acrylic spot free or free of scratches. I’m sure RO or distilled water helps keep mineral spots to a minimum. Maybe some vinegar water on a soft cloth once in a while?

    WATER ON MESH ROOF

Mine does the same, I have a small coloured patch because of the minerals from tap water but have since swapped to RO water and now nothing happens. I don’t think it would cause rust though

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

I wish I knew where to get ro water that cheap. I checked out getting an ro maker but it takes so much water just to make one gallon of ro and I live in an apartment and am afraid of getting in trouble for using too much water because I dont pay for water.

    Fogger Setup

Don't add any salt... You want RO water for anything you run with water. You want this so minerals do not build up in the equipment causing the machine to fail.

What water to use in MistKing

Happy new year. I've been using Mistking for 7 years now using filtered water. My system is a under cabinet unit with 2 filters. Only had some small deposits on the nozzle tips over the years. Easy to remove soaking in vinegar. Otherwise the system has been worth every penny.

    Rain maker water

If you look around local garden centres with tropical fish or fish stores, they are the best and cheapest way to get RO water. I get 25 litres for £3 which isn't bad.
