Hey guys! Been awhile since my last update with Indy, today I caught her in these colors! Although I don't know what these colors mean or if they mean anything at all?

    Update

Good morning, just wanted to post my girl Indy as she went through her 5th shed, I can't remember when to switch over from feeding everyday to every other day, is it when they're 6 months old? I can't tell the age but I'm basing her age off from her sheds which she currently been through 5 sheds...

    Pure trust

So I want to make this post that after months of hand feeding and positive interactions, my veiled chameleon indy has finally trusted me enough to come out onto my hand, I know they don't bond but I beg to differ from the look she gave me when I opened her cage door and she just ran out onto my...

Yeah I've got some on order so once that arrives I'll be surely to add them and more foliage! Either way she made an appearance today!

To be honest when I brought her home the first time I stressed her out on accident so I learned quickly to respect her and her space, but now she remains her relaxed been color although she hasn't shown any other colors yet since I believe she's still young but it's only a matter of time, but I...

Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback on my setup, took me sometime to go from not knowing anything and doing my research day in and day out and now she can thrive in her new home, but I really do appreciate the suggestions so I can give her the life she truly deserves!

That's fair, I'm still learning and making adjustments once she is out of her cage, and she now trusts me enough to come out onto my hand

    Rehoused

I do have a female veiled that currently finished her 4th shed. I will go and get some PVC siding and since I'm in Canada as we all know the climate is terrible but I haven't had any issues with the humidity and temps until the upgrade of the fully meshed cage, I do have a lot more plants but...

Makes sense, currently her humidity is at 30% daytime. I'm currently using a T5 linear UVB reptisun lamp, and then my basking bulb is just a regular basking lamp that measures 85-90°C

Just upgraded my girl into her forever home as she was in a hybrid cage before but was on the smaller side, she has outgrown that and now she's in a much taller cage, is my husbandry correct? I have a linear T5 lamp, basking lamp that's 10" from the bulb to her basking branch, she has a fog...

How to safely move a chameleon in winter

Oh ok, so can I put like a couple branches inside the box so she has somewhere to climb on and sleep and is a heat pack recommended as I'm in Canada and the winters suck

How to safely move a chameleon in winter

Hey guys, Our current landlord has bought us out so we signed a new lease with another landlord but we have to move February 15th, how can I safely transport my veiled chameleon so she doesn't get stressed out or keep stress to a minimal, she gets pissy whenever I attempt to get her out of her...

    Feeder bite

No, just looks like an abrasion no puncture from what I can tell when I look at her, I'll keep monitoring her daily but she seems quite unbothered by it but I don't want to take her to vet to only have them say she's fine and it will heal on its own and then slapped with a $500 vet bill just for...

    Feeder bite

Noted, but it was from a feeder cricket because I saw one crawl onto her face while she was eating, I usually try to pick off the ones that crawl onto her to avoid bites but she got pissy and hissed at me when I tried to take it off, with the horn worms I tend to hand feed those and I hold...

    Feeder bite

Hey everyone, so I noticed a bite spot on my cham and It's either from a cricket or a hornworm, but the bite is very small, I took a picture from the best angle that I could get, but would it get infected or will it heal on its own with no further action needed? I'll post a picture It's just...

    Gutloading Crickets

I gutload all my feeders with carrots, cucumber, raspberries and blueberries and sometimes iceberg lettuce, my only issue with the "gutload" store bought stuff usually come with fillers that are not at all nutritional value for our chams that's my personal opinion but it can be different for others.

feeding chameleons exclusively on silk worms?

I used to feed her only crickets as she was growing still but she finished her 3rd shed so I now mix crickets, silkworms and often times hornworms as she won't eat them everyday as she only sees them as a treat, but I gut load all my insects with carrots, blueberries, raspberries and sometimes...
