    They grow up so fast...

Thanks! I don't think we have hornworms in the Netherlands...:( Hornworms would be lill to big for him I think. I do feed him the occasional phoenixworm as a treat and now I've found a site where I can order silkworms so I will try that as well.

Why You Should Never Use Tap Water For Your Chameleon

You should bottle it and export them to other countries. :)

    What species don't need uvb?

Netherlands, cold here too but houses are well isolated so once it's 22C in the house it can be hard to cool your room to 15C

    Silkworm food...?

Shipment is 14,99 GBP (17,76€) for orders up to around 10KG+ Sounds like a lot but when I order within the Netherlands shipment is around 7€ so ordering 1 kilo powdered chow (that's 15€cheaper than here) would save me 5€ and 15€ for every extra kilo, so that's great!

    What species don't need uvb?

My house is around 15-20C at night so if it gets to warm I'll just open my window or put a fan on

    Nighttime Temps

...probably most other montane species) have night time temps of 40F-64F in nature but they can probably handle little colder... My biggest worry about putting my Jacksonii outside was him getting to cold but I guess I should worry more about him getting to warm, even in the Netherlands...:ROFLMAO:

I am going to "dierenpret", which translates to animal-fun. It's a rodent/reptile expo in Houten, The Netherlands.

My veiled chameleon has a swollen eye wich isnt there all the time

mistking is not available in the netherlands but luckily there are some stores that do sell similar sets. Dutch Rana sets are populair also under chameleon keepers as the nozzles do provide this fine mist. I've recently bought this set and it's very much to my likings...

I still can't believe you can mail-order your reptiles in the USA... I don't think that's even permitted in the Netherlands and it would be to cold for most of the year anyways... Tho I can have my feeder bugs shipped by mail which is awesome! Your cham looks great and he got the blue steel...

    Mist King water type

I use tap water since it's good drinkable quality in the Netherlands, figured it also contains calcium and other minerals so it may be better for my cham than osmosis or distilled water would be. I'll just buy a new nozzle or pump if it's clogged beyond repair, the new set is around 100€ for a...

    Project hornworm update!

...larvae and superworms to try and breed those as well. Crickets I'm the same, I buy them in bulk and then just feed em off and buy new ones the next month. I wish I could get my hands on hornworms but they are just not available in the Netherlands... If I had em I would start a wormstore. :p

My veiled chameleon has a swollen eye wich isnt there all the time

...maybe they can refer you to a vet or take back the animal to take it there themselves. Otherwise here's a list of reptilian vets in the Netherlands (it's an old list so you may want to check if they are still there and ideally if they have experience with chameleons)...

    New to Chameleons (NEED ADVICE!)

This has nothing to do with being Dutch, and I think it's rather immature that you'd put a whole nation down because of what one person said on these forums. I also, though not fully on board, agree with @Remkon that there is appears to be such a lack of concern that it almost seems like bait...

My Terrarium is ok? Do I need to change? Veilled Chameleon

What I find hard to believe is that the temperature in your house will be between 5 and 15C at night... I'm in the even colder Netherlands but my house doesn't drop below 19C in winter (unless I leave windows open). I don't think a glassmaker will give any guarantee on the drilling a hole in...

    Jackson's Cooling.

I am keeping an AC in mind in case of emergency but here in the Netherlands night temperatures don't often stay above 20C in summer so I should be able to cool enough without the use of an AC. I'm keeping a pile of ice packs in the fridge at all time in case a hot night occurs but if I ever...
