So I mean nothing is set in stone. I have heard that s I me passiflora (not the fruit variety) is supposedly toxic. Dogs can get a stomach ache eaten the unripe fruits (cyanide like peaches or any other sweet fruits) I have read that passiflora edilus (the common passionfruit, as its the...

    Codas Upgrade!

I had seen that mentioned, as well. A warning to Passiflora however, it attracts ants like crazy. As to toxicity, lets put that into perspective of what the issue is, and why. As we should with all plants, as some of this stuff is just overblown. Passiflora all of it, contains trace amounts...

    Rare plants!

You are going to have along wait, starting with seeds. The canna will need much more light than a chameleon enclosure will provide and the Passion flower will be invasive and the vines it produces are rather thin and easily damaged. You should google search based on your conditions, for instance...

    Rare plants!

I agree. these plants tend to be rare for a reason, as they have pretty specific needs as far as light, water, and humidity. But if you want the challenge go for it, but the light requirements should be the most important consideration for sure.

    Rare plants!

Thanks for the suggestions! If I'm being honest, the passiflora are more for myself :) they are my favorite flower. I will make sure to trim them though, and it will be more of an accent then a climbing plant. Thanks also for the sites, I was running out of places to look!

Jungle Dawn 40w MEGA Plant Grow Spotlight

I've been trimming back plants every other week or so. I even have Passion Flowers Vines going crazy. Each plant grows back new stems and etc. with each trimming. It would look great over a Gracilior! The light looks very natural and isn't to overwhelming. You won't regret getting one!

    Many questions from new comer!

Small hornworms are fine, all silkworms are fine. Turning on the light at 7am and off at 7pm is fine. Never leave food in the cage, just ask anyone what happens if there is a hungry cricket in there.

George's first cage finally all finished!

Thank you! The flowering plant I have used so far is a passion flower (the one in the last photograph), the big orange flowers are fake unfortunately! Hoping to replace them with hibiscus once he gets in his big boy cage. I like the passion flower because it's a vine and has grown all over his...

    Passion Flower Vines in enclosure?

Here's my first question on this forum. Has anyone used Passion flower vines in their enclosures? I have seen on some lists that they are safe to use, but was curious if anyone has had success using them for their chams. I have grown them outdoors in Oregon and they do wonderfully so I figured...

Is it recommended? So far one member seems to like it. Do you think I should put pothos inside that kit? So I...
