    Cats and Panthers?

I really appreciate everyone's input! @james our cats do sound similar but I don't think I would go as far as trusting her with him outside his cage! :cautious: ...and I am, imho, very protective of Silas. If I thought for a second my cat was a threat, she would never be near him. He is always...

    Cats and Panthers?

Thanks for the responses. I know it may be difficult for some to believe, but I honestly don't worry about the cat doing anything. All cats are not the same, and this one just is oblivious. A sweetheart, but oblivious. I would never leave the cage open, but I'm gone all day for work and there...

    Cats and Panthers?

So reading some threads on here, as I do most evenings, has got me wondering about something. My 4 month old Ambanja panther, Silas, is still not very friendly. He usually hides and more recently puffs up, hisses and even strikes at me sometimes when I put my hand in the cage. I've had him for a...

    Club Ambanja

I just love the blues and purples. Nosy Be's are awesome, but I wanted more variety than mostly blue. When I looked around at the different locales it was obvious to me that Ambanja was the one for me. Little Silas is my first chameleon, and I would eventually like to try my hand at breeding him...

Know Your Cham: Lets play a game!

I'm curious if any sons/grandsons had frown-faces too. That is funny, you'd think at least one of them could manage a smile.

    Crocs not Chams.

Thanks for sharing that! That is amazing! I think anyone who loves reptiles has experienced this bond on some level. This is an extreme example. Without spoiling anything, I wish the best for Chito's family!

    Misting schedule for baby panther

Thanks. Yeah it sounds like something that is kind of specific to the setup. I'm sure I'll work it out. I will definitely lessen the duration of the misting in the afternoon.

    Misting schedule for baby panther

What size enclosure are you using? I did notice he was kind of licking his lips this morning like he was looking for something to drink. Another question. Does anyone heat their water supply before misting. Just waking up it's in the low 70s in my place and the water is probably pretty chilly...
