mine stopped eating for about a week prior to laying her clutch, she was very active though, walking all over the place

my cham looked veryyy similar before she laid her first clutch. both in shape and coloration

we took karma to the vet today, she is not carrying anymore eggs, so i am extremely happy to hear that! everything else checked out as well, the veterinarian said she is very healthy. any ideas why she would have been carrying 1 single egg and no others? weird.

i’m sorry i thought that said miami, orlando is my best bet then. i’m going to call bruce tomorrow and see if they can take some xrays if i make the trip up there.

that’s what i am hoping for, i’m just looking for a vet to take her to and get the xrays done to determine if she needs surgery

okay so i just got off the phone with the only reptile vet near me that is open today. after telling her what happened, the vet told me my cham was egg bound, and said she has already done 4 surgeries this month, telling me it had something to do with this “time of year”. a few red flags though...

i will give you an update monday after the vet visit

if i get her spayed will she cease to produce eggs? do you know how much that procedure costs?

and if she is carrying eggs, what would the next step be? i’m assuming she is carrying more eggs right? is it possible her entire clutch was 1 egg?
