    Prego?

...honestly and now I am doing my best to get ready. They are not related to each other. Yes we use uvb light as well. Yes we have an incubator on the way. I have not worked on enclosures for the Little ones yet since we are looking at 6 to 9 months of incubation. Also talking to some more...

    Prego?

Alright, just double checking. Chameleons keeping and especially breeding can be though and expensive hobby and obligation 👍🏻✌🏻We only wish the best for everyone, the animals and yourself.

Is this the right way to incubate my chams eggs?

The length of time they incubate for before hatching is affected by the temperature you keep them at for one thing….so it’s hard to give an exact date. Usually the eggs shrink, get “windows” in the shell, sweat just before hatching…so that can be an indication.

    Furcifer willsii.

My female Willsii laid a nice clutch of 10 eggs. These will be for F2 babies. Now for the long wait. Looks like I need to get another incubator up and running.

    Eggs being torn

i incubate at 79F and didnt change anything from the beginning, no add further water in wholetime. This subtrate i had mixed for 2 clutchs, one clutch hatched at the same temperature with 20/24 eggs in 8 months and this clutch with this problem at 9th month.

    Egg Husbandry Checkup

I don’t know that’s I use the paper towels. Normally, if they are going to go bad, they mold over within two weeks. This is how I incubate my eggs. I incubate the eggs the same way that Lynda (kinyonga) does. Put them in a plastic Tupperware shoe box with about 3 inches of moist vermiculite...

Water ratio for vermiculite incubation substrate?

So it finally happened! My female veiled laid her clutch! It took her many hours but she just finished up. I have mixed up a batch of vermiculite following the instructions of a post I read on here. Not too wet, but wet enough that a few drops drip out when squeezed. I was wondering if it should...

I’m in love already . Looks like a female. I’ll get better pictures later of her. Will post more babies...

    Grasshopper Piggies

I would put the eggs in a slightly moist medium and incubate them. Maybe put them in a deli cup with incubation medium. Best Regards Jeremy A. Rich

    Eggs being torn

@kinyonga might be able to help you. I would include any info for what you may have done recently. I am not well versed in incubating eggs but I know when too much water is added to the substrate the eggs can rupture.

Breed female before she lays infertile eggs?

...I don't know if her eggs were fertile or infertile. She laid some very small ones and some larger ones, so I put them all in a home-made incubator and watched them for a few weeks. The tiny ones shriveled and molded, but the larger ones stayed plump. Then a friend gave me a "real"...

New Brookesia owner. Please help with ID and any tips and tricks for acclimation

...she was roaming the floor. She weighs about 5.8g. Trying to add in some lessons learned and getting a bit of vermiculite and parts for DIY incubator are on the way, so I can make sure it works. I'll use these parameters from this post from @javadi Day 72F Night 68F...

Meet Daffodil! (Daffie) Also need some advice for an egg-laying bin!

I’m not very experienced with eggs but when they are infertile they are smaller and mold sooner rather than later once set up for incubation. I would suggest posting a pic of the eggs once they are set up in the incubation box.

    Eggs being torn

I gave you all the information I have in this thread. I assume this is another batch of eggs? Is it from the same pair of chameleons? Did you change anything in the way you were incubating them? https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/panther-egg-sweating-but-baby-cannot-get-out.192571/page-2

    Hatched but then died, why?

Leave it there for now. You want to make sure it’s really dead before you give up on it. Hatching is a lot of work. They have to absorb the remaining yolk and rest usually before they crawl out of the egg. Leave the container in the incubator with that lid on.
