    Color loss?

I sure hope so, thanks! (Love the "playing games" comment ) It kinda of reminded me of when Godzilla does his thing and his spines light up as he shoots out his atomic breath...lol :p Thanks for the comments.

Heating, lighting & UVB options - advise needed

...ok, maybe not lol) As far as plants, I have 3 Golden Pothos, one Dracena and a Bromliad. Here is my terrarium as it is at this moment. front view with main branches installed by broderp posted Feb 12, 2017 at 8:19 PM You can see the T5 lamp and a small LED light I made for a smaller...

    Gut loading crickets

I make the Bug Burger with water and feed the crickets and dubias the gel. I also mix some of the dry powder with Cricket Crack as a dry option. I'll see if I can toss in some fresh veggies fro time to time.

Why is it a bad idea to get hatchlings?

I commented on this in another thread asking the same basic question. My take away was that they really require special care when so small in both feeding and husbandry.

Basking light on a them control

LOL, :) There are many on the market you can buy to do this, but I found them expensive so I designed my own.;) I must be all alone in my thinking as my threads on this never go anywhere: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/controller-feedback-please.126024/...

    Cleaning a glass enclosure.

That sir is a very good question. I will admit I never thought of it, and saying that my Cham has never licked the glass is not good enough. I made an assumption that when it evaporated and was streak free and I felt no residue, smelled nothing and the glass felt smooth but not slick...

My Cham is afraid of his Mist King

Well that will be rough with no way to drain the terrarium. Humidity will go to 90+ and stay there (even with the fan I keep running on top) and I will have standing water for sure every day at least until I get home. I can't imagine what 2-3 minutes will look like. I'll try 60...

    Releasing crickets in cage?

That's a good idea. I've used clear containers before, and both my previous chams would try to get the crickets thru the sides. I had to place the containers at the bottom to assure they came in on a downwards trajectory to the open top...

Sunblaster NanoTech T5 High Fixture/Reflector Combo

Yes you did, and I like it. BUT Since I use a digital controller that monitors heat and humidity, every time the heat met or exceeded the set point, it would cycle the light on and off. I use a controller with a ceramic heat element and I never have to worry about temp changes and adjusting a...

    Misting with Cold Air Humidifier

THIS IS PRICELESS!!!:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL: Yeah, he really screwed with a few of them. I'm having a baby panther being shipped to me next week (from a sight sponsor (y)) and even though I have cared for a cham for about 5 years now, I really want to step up my game. This crap...

    Misting with Cold Air Humidifier

Thanks for the post. I see your point and I agree. Getting enough moisture in the terrarium from a humidifier (cold air humidifier that is ;)) that would satisfy the plants would probably resemble a cloud in the terrarium. I work during the week so I'm not home from 7am to 6pm. I need an...

    DIY MISTING SYSTEM

Wow, I'm not sure what to say. Thanks for the kind words. (or a joke on me that went over my head ) As an engineer (electrical) I am also frugal. The company I have worked for the last 22 years makes world class products for the food industry. I know material cost...

...Here is a current picture of my terrarium to visualy see the orientation and size of plants. front view with main branches installed by broderp posted Feb 12, 2017 at 8:19 PM My questions: Do you guys find misting (either by hand or thru a electric mister) enough to keep them alive? Do...

Advise needed on using a fan in enclosure

I've been eye ballin' those, but I'm mot convinced the screen will hold up to my cleaning. I have another thread devoted to wanting to get info on the thickness and material used on these cages. Yes I know, and I clean almost daily. If I see water, I definitely clean. I'm worried about...

Sunblaster NanoTech T5 High Fixture/Reflector Combo

I'm going to use it for my UVB stick, nothing else. Does the power supply lack and prevent a less than full brightness of any T5 light used or are you referring to the included T5 lamp (which I will be tossing out anyways)? And......:coffee: Mine is still going strong, but am reaching the...

Advise needed on using a fan in enclosure

I hope you guys can follow this: :coffee: I'm misting for 1 minute, 3 times a day. (which some say isn't enough). Start humidity varies in the morning as it typically matches the house humidity. Lets just say 50%. The first misting is at 7:45 am and the humidity can go up to 90% within a few...

    Any benefit to expensive breeders?

Mixed bag... I see your point. I guess it's hard to determine what the animal will be exposed to in such environments or do background checks on all the breeders. This is great food for thought and something I can definitely ask about when I go. Is there a checklist or thread that goes over...
