This could also be part of the issue. I would definitely try to start cup feeding soon, as once he's had a week or so to settle in you can ever start trying to tong feed.

A lot of reptiles darken when trying to absorb heat. This is especially common in arid species like Bearded Dragons. While I've never observed on of my Chameleons doing such, I would not be at all surprised if this was the reason.

I would honestly be more concerned about that than anything. It is incredibly important for your Chameleon to have proper day/night cycles. Is there any way you can purchase a timer before you leave? They're about $10 - $15 at PetSmart I think.

I agree! I owned a few Reptibreeze enclosures for my previous Chameleon, and I always thought they felt incredibly flimsy and brittle. They did their job, but I would like to have something nicer this go around.

@OldChamKeeper thanks for the input! What exactly are the dragon ledges? That's good to hear though. I'm glad to hear about the quality though, as I feel that the Reptibreeze enclosures are pretty low quality.
