Foggers, a Tool or a Danger?

Not sure what you mean. I’m talking about a mist water reservoir that people use in many different forms and fashions. A UV-C sterilizing light will actively prevent anything from growing in this container, the light kills bacterias and molds that would grow inside a container. That is literally...

Foggers, a Tool or a Danger?

A uv sterilizing light added to the reservoir can help with preventing anything growing in there.

    Yellow lip parson enclosure

There are only 2 companies that produce enclosures big enough specifically with chameleons in mind. That is Dragonstrand which makes one that is 4x4x2 and Tamura Designs, who has a 4x4x2 format but also can build larger custom enclosures. past that most make their own enclosures that I’ve...

Foggers, a Tool or a Danger?

You definitely do not want to run the fogger during the daytime. Most will say it can cause a URI with the increased daytime temps but it does not work alone, sanitation and airflow is a large part of the equation but for keeping things simple I would urge to not fog during the daytime. Not...

    Wyze Cam

Martha I don’t have the v3 so I’m not positive but it sounds like the light you are referring to is the status light, this can be turned off in the advanced settings. See photos.

    Very Frustrated

Have you tried free ranging some crickets. Some chameleons do not like to eat from cups or bowls etc. and prefer to hunt. What size are you offering him? Or are you only offering the bsfl?

What Do I Do If Power Goes Out... During A Snow Storm.

Don’t envy whatever part of town you live in heh. But this is south TX and a generator is a must have piece of equipment IMO. I’d have been all over my power company pretty much hourly for crap like that. and I’m aware of the storm bud, I’m 2 hours south of Houston.

What Do I Do If Power Goes Out... During A Snow Storm.

Weeks is a bit of a stretch unless a hurricane hits. A freeze, not likely to be more than a day or so I’d imagine at the most. More likely just a few hours max.

    BSFL...

A couple of my Parsonii that will eat these will chew like they do most of their feeders, interesting study though and now it does make me wonder if the chewing they do is mashing them enough. Nice find @kinyonga

    Mixing Red runners and crickets?

Runners will cannibalize their own if food is low. So I dont think crickets will stand much chance. Heh. Not fun indeed

    Mixing Red runners and crickets?

The runners will attack and eat the crickets most likely. They are very aggressive. And pretty much always hungry.

    Bee Pollen? The Right stuff?

The only true way to possibly tell since no science puts much care or research into in depth aspects of the health and well being of chameleons on molecular levels... would be a breeder to experiment with a clutch, or possibly multiple clutches. Divide a clutch in half and run one half on a...

    Bee Pollen? The Right stuff?

I get the debate here. Is the flower pollen possibly a better source. I think personally they are equivalent of one and other. I dont scare by the "oh its exposed to bacteria etc etc" this that blah blah. Only way my mind will change on that is proof that its harmful. Which I've only seen...

    Bee Pollen? The Right stuff?

The pollen that Is collected is not processed in the hive. This comes from external traps on the entryway of the hive. What your thinking of as far as processed inside the hive is Propolis I think. The other factors do apply and we are at the will of what's collected I agree. But I've used it...

Gutloading, are we doing it right?

Petr and I have had a small discussion on this and like his post. Where we just do not know what they need and in what amounts. I spoke to him about how I think the best approach given this info, and he agreed at the time with me, in a Blanket effect, covering as many nutrients as we can think...
