    Out of enclosure plants?

I just got my juvenile Cham about 9 days ago, almost 3 months old. Planning to attempt the first tong feeding tomorrow, and depending on how that goes I will attempt the first true handling since he was shipped. Assuming he happens to be a social butterfly who likes out of cage time (in the...

HELP! Frozen Brown Anole male! Super skinny!

...on the sidewalk. I picked him up and thankfully he was alive, but he was so skinny and cold. I took him inside and put him in a little butterfly cage since I don’t have any other cages currently. When I took a closer look at him, he was so skinny that his body had flaps of skin hanging off...

    Got another pet

Hey guys, I know it’s pretty quick after the anole situation. But I didn’t actually use ANY money on this pet. So, the other day, I was just sitting in my chair alone being sad after the anole died. I looked at my window next to Spyro’s cage and saw a spider on there. I don’t know about you but...

    Housing Grasshoppers

I use a butterfly cage and keep them outdoors in the shade in summertime. I can hang greens from the top with a paper clip so they don't have to go to the floor to eat. If I bring indoors I hang a heat lamp on top.

Something is wrong, please help 🙏

I would just continue to keep an eye on him for anything else, like sleeping or eyes closed during the day, not eating, lethargic, staying at the bottom and not basking etc. We give them different gradients as much as we can so that they can choose to go to an area for a different temp or...

Awesome! I like this idea! It can get close to 110° in the summer so I’ll have to be careful. Thank you

Something is wrong, please help 🙏

Hey, he just started just to go down, kind of explore and goes up. Today when i got home i find him kind of staying at one spot at the pot of a plant, that sits on the bottom, that’s why i started to worry a bit. He is really social butterfly and we do take him by hand and stays outside...

Has anyone seen theseand are they suitable popupchameleon

There are butterfly cages available in the US from one of our sponsors that probably ship for less. mantisplace.com popup-mesh-large-hanging-house-w-plastic-window. It would be appropriate for outdoor or cage cleaning time with a plant inside it but it is small. Search for mesh cages and you...

Don’t ever feed your feeders non organic!

I am totally freaked out about grasshoppers but they really don't try to escape. The space is too small for them to fly. Their ability to take flight is limited. It's more like a hop with a push. They congregate around heat and food. . The round thing Is a rubber gasket. It opens and...

Do I have to have the humming bird feeder hanging somewhere? I haven’t gotten it yet but the thing is I can’t really hang one since I’ve got one of those butterfly cages. (So for I’ve gotten one moth that hatched today morning)

Hey all, I have some stuff I’d like to sell off to make room. Located in western PA, I could drive an hour or so to meet. I’m also in New Jersey occasionally. Shipping might be too crazy for some of this so I’d prefer local pick up, but could possibly ship some of it. PM me and I can get more...

    panther hatchling not growing

So you are removing him from his cage to put him in the butterfly cage every day to try to feed him? We need to review your UVB distance and bulb type. I need to know your bulb strength on the bulb it will say 5.0 or 10.0 I need to know which it is. Your UVB is really far away and I doubt he...

Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

@MissSkittles so apparently I don't have a butterfly tent but I ended up making one out of the cage I was going to use for Sherbert's vet appointment. I added a different mesh to it, so they cant get out. Im misting them two times a day, (morning and afternoon) and they seem to be doing well. I...

    uvb not here yet

Hi there welcome to the forum. Do you have a safe enclosure to take baby outside in? Butterfly net cages work well for little ones. They are a cheap pop up. Can you take baby out in the late afternoon once the heat of the day declines a bit? Do you have any type of UVB lighting on baby now...

    Baby Cham with eye problems

I think I might have misspoken. The ‘tank’ I’m planning on using is a front opening vertical terrarium. It is still class though but has a screen top. However even that will be temporary, as soon as he starts recovering I’m planing on getting a Zoomed reptibreeze, but I wanted to offer him more...
