Help me please!! My veiled chameleon hasn’t eaten and her eyes have been closed for a week!!

I am using a calcium with D3 twice a month and without D3 for every feeding. The main thing here is that her eyes have been closed for multiple weeks and I have been trying to figure out what is this issue causing this since we don’t have any vet near. I think since she has been keeping her...

Food ideas for young, shy chameleon

...I even fastened a little cup in the enclosure with dubia roaches, and he doesn't touch them. He also doesn't touch the tiny-chopped fruit / veggies I put in there. I was thinking of trying to get him a few hornworms but I've heard they can bite hard, and he's a very little guy. What else...

    Bump on jaw?

...so much!! I have some money saved up, so I think that this is urgent enough to take her to the vet for. I will also be changing her diet, as I never knew her veggies were so bad. I will also try to get a new lighting setup if I can afford it after the vet trip. It might have to wait a bit...

    Rescue Cham W/ stomatitis?

I keep my feeders in a bin and put food like the greens listed in the feeder bin. That way they're all full and happy and have good nutrients all through their digestive system for when the cham eats them. :). For my cage, I have a money tree and the biggest pothos I've ever seen filling most of...

Sweet Panther Developed Aiming Problem - Please help!

Hi. Nothing in your husbandry is really standing out to me except what you are feeding your bugs. Yellow and orange veggies are high in (proformed) vitamin A. This is the type of A which is water soluble and easily excreted and is the one which we are unsure if chameleons are able to utilize it...

    Sick cham

...about the Arcadia gut load, it seems like a really good gut load so great job on that! It does say you can sprinkle it on fresh fruits and veggies OR you can add warm water to the mix and have a paste you can feed to the bugs. Do what will work best for you, but if you sprinkle it on the...

    FREE ENCLOSURES AROUND PHILADELPHIA

The sign below the female veiled chameleon’s enclosure said, “omnivore” and they had a dish of cut up veggies on the floor, next to a bowl of water which had a poop in it. Strangely even the San Diego zoo calls them omnivores...

    Phantom leaf eater

That’s something I’ll try, if i can find them cheap, here in uk mantis are pets and not feeders so can pay $15 for one 😅. Cleanup crew get fed leaf litter, veg scraps, and isopod powdered food, they are thriving tbh, I had troubles at the start with them keeping up, but they’ve bred a lot and...

    Veggies 😤

I saw someone on tik tok recommending to feed veggies to chams. 😤😤😤 I told them politely that this was not true and that they should come here and talk to people but they didn't. Just something I was mad about, continue with your day. Also I've been here less beacause I'm in high school now...

    Random Veileds

Poor sweethearts. What pet store is that? Is it one of the chain stores? They have terrible set ups for chameleons - bowl of veggies, bowl of water and looks like not much for them to climb. I try very hard to avoid going into pet stores because I want to ‘save’ them all. I had to go into one...

And those graphs range 24 hrs so I believe the highest points are obviously during the day and low points are during the night.

    Potting soil-what to use?

...had organic but was not sure if that means if it was fertilizer free. Also, they had organic soil for tomato it and citrus and flower and veggies and bedding soil(which I don’t know the difference). I didn’t buy it because I was not sure and didn’t want to take the chance. Also, any one like...

    Grasshopper Haven

Got my new batch of differential grasshoppers after all 100 died last week from pesticides on the veggies I gave them. (Which 100% has to be the case since I found 3 in my house throughout the week alive and healthy that must’ve escaped when transferring them so didn’t eat or get next to the...

...bug a day. He eats 4-6 crickets then 3-4 silkworms daily. The gut load I was using also included protein so moving forward I will only use veggies and fruit until he gets better and silkworm food (obviously). Supplements - supplements are listed above in the tread. I used to use a lot. I...

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

I have giant canyon isos. Even though I provide and maintain a decent layer of leaf litter, I provide the cork bark for them to better hide from my chams, who enjoy hunting them. Every now and then I’ll put a piece of veggie or fruit under their cork bark. They do seem to just naturally hide...

    Veggies no fruits...chameleons...

In this thread there is some discussion about feeding chameleons, mostly veileds, fruits and veggies... https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/veggies-😤.188300/ It's said that veggies can't be digested by chameleons so they shouldn't be fed to them....and yet it's said that they eat leaves in...

    Rescue Cham W/ stomatitis?

That's the same chart I have screenshoted lol! The only plant in her cage is a small money plant for her to hide in. The dandelion is in one of my male chams cages. He doesn't take to veggies very much and the crickets like to lay in them so he mostly uses it as a bait and trap situation.

Have you tried Grasshoppers?? My advice if you are feeding crickets.

Oops! I totally forgot to put that lol. Thank you for adding this!
