That is normal. Maybe let him be for a couple of weeks to get acclimated to his new home and environment. When I bring mine outside of enclosure he turns brighter. Not much though. Then they will be a little darker when trying to warm up in their basking spot.

I don't have a veiled but a Panther. You will need to mist a few times a day for 2-3 minutes each time. A Mistking automated mister would be handy. Because sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes to get them to drink and clean their eyes. Live plants will help keep humidity up. How are you measuring...

I bet he is getting ready to shed, if he hasn't since you have had him. My panther at that age would shed every 4 weeks, almost to the day for like, 3 months in a row. Mine would stop cut back on his eating, become dull, sometimes restless, yawn (stretching his mouth a lot) before shedding.

Sometimes they don't eat if they are close to a shed.
