    Water spray on the walls

water Hi SycoSquirl. I also was having a small issue with water hitting the wall. I bought a mist king and then water was over spraying the cage. I used Cora plastic sheet and then put a triopical backdrop on it and It fixed the issue with water hit wall. Then I bought a water tray from...

    Screaming Veiled Chameleon

That pothos plant will not ever grow up and fill in your space. Go to someplace like Home Depot and buy a bushy umbrella plant, hibiscus or ficus in a two gallon pot. A hibiscus would be the best choice because it is so edible and veiled do eat their plants. I was just in and bought a bunch...

    Sweetest Chameleon

Thanks guys. My latest project has been trying to get a long tongue shot of him in a more natural looking environment. Yesterday, I am pretty sure was the longest he has reached for something and I could tell I pressed the button at the correct moment, so naturally my camera didn't even fire. It...

    Pink Carpet Cham? help!

So I've had my carpet chameleon Jessica for a few months now but just recently her "main" color (the sort of backdrop for the designs) has changed from white/light green to a pink color. Should I be concerned? Possible causes? I did just add dwarf giant papyrus (oxymoron lol) and a cissus vine...

Ferdinand's Giant Outdoor Cage - Step 1: Formulate a Plan

First things first - you need a plan. I sat down and listed what I wanted for an outdoor cage: 1. Collapsible without unscrewing anything. 2. Very light weight and easily moveable. 3. Weather resistant and maintenance free. 4. HUGE! With easy interior access. 5. Secure from birds and...

    Beautiful WC Ambanja, still recovering

Chamcapture: he looks like he'll be a stunner. Just a hunch, but looks like a Charlie-esque backdrop in the photo?

    Evolution of color variation: Discussion

What do you think could cause the selective pressure to create such variation in locales? IE maybe the island species of Faly/Be benefit from being of similar color to the water. Predators may have more difficulty seeing a blue chameleon against a blue backdrop of water?

    My dream enclosure: under way!!!

Updated picture. Getting close! I know it looks like a frankencage with the different colored wood but all of it is recycled besides the side and front panels. Going to stain it all dark besides the light panels, so hopefully it will all look closer to the same color #fingerscrossed. Next thing...

    DIY 3D Foam Rockwall.

I don't know...maybe its just me, but I'd rather have more foliage cover for an arboreal cham than rock faces. I've considered cutting panels of that synthetic leaf privacy fencing to use as a backdrop in a cham cage. All the leaf surfaces would hold water droplets, the cham could climb it if it...

    The red is taking over

Here's another picture from last night against a white backdrop. You can really see the red. If you look at the thread of him as he developed the progression in the last few months is quite astonishing. His sire, Thor from Kaleidoscope Chameleon's had the red rain, but on a much more...

    TXTR-LITE panels - with photos

...I had mentioned in other posts. I just bought new panels, and they arrived today, so I snapped a few photos. I am going to use these as backdrops for the giant enclosure I built (https://www.chameleonforums.com/thank-goodness-9-ft-ceilings-111618/). I bought 3 Terra Red panels with minor...

    BackGround Decor

I loved my TXTR-LITE panel. I work in the construction industry, and saw them at a tradeshow and that's why I decided to try it out. It's natural stone and fiberglass, so it doesn't absorb anything. It's easy to wipe down or toss in the shower. Super light and flexible, so it was really easy...
