That’s the nice thing about these cages is you can really customize them as they’re basically just an aluminum frame If you don’t mind waiting on shipping it may be wise to throw dragon ledges on before the panels and that would give you mounting points for pots and branches

It’s good to not have to act out of urgency and have time to premeditate changes. As long as you’re within acceptable ranges for humidity and temps and your animal isnt showing stress behaviors you can premeditate what you want to do and execute it with minimal disruptions

That’s good At a glance you don’t need major revisions that I can see These are all just suggestions

I always try to emulate the floating garden style and keep my floor bare for maximum drainage but that’s just me I mount my planters

Other small side note: your Cham would love some more climbing opportunities :) What you have is a good start but if you want more options for branching your cage I’d recommend dragon ledges They allow for you to mount things effectively on the sides of your cage plants and branches, I added a...

looks like you have a female veiled? 30% is the lower threshold of daytime humidity targets, as for the evening without changing hydration inputs (misting, fogging) your best bet is to add PVC sides If you do want a small bump it doesn’t have to be anything massive. You may be able to...

You can always turn this into a makeshift hybrid by getting pvc panels for three sides. Theres plenty of guides to do this. I can’t run a mesh cage in my house in the months I need my furnace, it just dries the air out so much that even with a hybrid I need to run at least 2 minutes of daytime...

New cage season, how are we looking?

That look says “why are you bugging me this close to lights on?”

This guy loves to strut his stuff I’ve found handling him outside his cage helps keep his gut motility regular

    Chameleon Bites…

I swear I have a super tolerant veiled when I see people post about theirs Dude will climb out onto my sleeve while I work on his cage, he on occasion will give me a territorial response threatening to shoot his tongue at me or my phone camera but in 2 years has not tried to bite me once

    Setting up Enclosure

An excess of ambition is seldom a bad thing. :) If you do remove a plant you can always keep it on standby as an alternative option if something dies or is consumed by your veiled

Your initial reasoning for dense planting was spot on though like I said earlier, I you did plant a lot lol. My 2 cents would be wait to see what thins out on its own, and after things are established and happy, prune it back, I’m sure things can be opened up a bit looking at your cages. As...

It’s the way to go The thing with pet boarding with reptiles not even considering stress on the animal is also the risk of cross contamination between animals as you don’t know the hygiene practices of the facility Best of luck. :)

I’d ask @Beman or @MissSkittles to chime in here, just because I don’t have experience with female charms and want to make sure your questions are answered Glancing at your husbandry review, I do see you’re feeding her 3-5 feeders every other day? I know with females you do want to restrict...

At a glance I think you’re fine for now, but if stuff grows and becomes to dense you may need to prune it back. Bonus part is you can take the trimmings and use them to propagate You can always add a pc fan to the top of the cages to enhance the chimney effect if you want to in the future to...

These look great! The one thing I’d say to keep an eye on is make sure that you got good airflow from the bottom to the top with how densely they are planted. :) but visually they look on point, good job :) Also, your upper plants look well mounted. :)

Now I’m really getting nervous. (Still haven’t seen a poo)

My guy has a slow GI and has since he was done being treated for parasites My guy is similar when it takes him a bit to go. No lethargy, still active and engaged, no slowed appetite, just no poop. When I’ve had extended times without a bowel movement his vet prescribed cisepride to induce a...

If you do dowels do oak That being said they are more prone to rot than regular wood as they’ve been finished which opens to the pores of the wood

I set this up during the winter when scavenging for stocks wasn’t an option, ghostwood holds up okay but for all the natural wood in here I dropped like.. 200 bucks or so. Question, I hear you mentioning multiple chams? Do you have two/are you housing them together?
