Well that was a battle. Tried and tried but so scared of causing damage. No way could I even roll his lip, never mind get his jaw open. So then tried sneaky tactics and gave a super. Just managed to get the meds in as he was finishing it. 1st dose done, repeat battle in 2 days lol.

So very sorry to hear this. Clearly you have done the absolute best for this guy and can proud of that, having given him a great and very long life. Cancer is a bitch in all species. The 3rd pic (close up on his face) is fantastic and oozes character. Well worth a spot on your wall.

Right so just collected Bob's meds. He's been Marbocyl which is injected but in this case given orally (that's gonna be fun ) he has to have 6 units of the tiniest syringe (I'm guessing .6 ml) every 2 days for 2 weeks. Can't tell which virus it is but same meds either way.

OK, vet literally called within last 5 mins. Definitely viral although could be papilloma or 'pox' (not heard of that one). He's going onto oral meds as of later today. (I can post exactly what when I collect them). The vet wants a follow up in 2 weeks after giving the meds a chance to work...

As was asked earlier, if it's still happening, please post a vid. Other folk may have an answer. Personally I've never seen or heard of it and if I was in your shoes and worried, I would get an appointment with your vet who actually knows about chams. No doubt you already have a vet in mind...

Please, get a vet visit NOW. I'm not going to wade in any more other than to say that these issues could easily have been avoided if you had researched properly BEFORE getting a cham. You owe it a vet visit at the very least and I hope it's not too late.

That's a coil bulb from exo terra. So no, you do not have the correct lighting! You must get proper UVB in the form of T5HO or at least T8 tubes.

Really need better pics. How long has it been 'stuck'. On close up checking does it really look like poop or does it look different? Any other poop in the cage? White urates in the cage?

You may have found that harsh. However every point raised is valid and I hope you will try to address these points. Please don't take things personally, folk are 100% on the side of the chams best interests. I kept out of this one for fear of being a bull in a china shop. @Syreptyon is bang on.

I certainly would not reccomend lifting him out just handle him. You would destroy any bit of trust you had gained. Take time, let the cham decide things and be prepared that he may well be one of the guys who just wants to be left alone. If that's the case, just enjoy sitting and watching him.

So what do you think is the main difference in time taken to hatch and do you have fairly set parameters you use for all your clutches to incubate?

I wonder if they could/would actually dig that deep in the wild? They do with us as we give them what we hope is the perfect digging medium. They tend to lay at the sides or next to a plant pot so maybe they go down until until they hit something solid. We could be making it harder work for them.

1st thing is prepare a lay bin. Around 12 inch wide and 10-12 inches deep. Most folk, myself included use a mixture of organic topsoil and playsand. Mix it up and have it moist, so that if you dig into it, the hole stays intact. Do this NOW. Ideally this should be in her enclosure...
