To your question about contagion, squamous cell carcinoma is not contagious-but it IS a very nasty cancer...
I had some added to my phyllomedusa cage and saw him do it. They bored holes about the size of a 50 cent piece in upper back panel, and then put in plastic pieces with small holes and glued them in. They are unobtrusive and work just as I wanted.
