I was hired to write an article on the need for UV lighting in birds by Harrison's Bird Foods. A good deal of the information is directly applicable to reptiles and chameleons so I wanted to share it here. Of course chams don't have preen glands but they process UVB similarly. In fact, the...
Mine did, although I think it is sort of modular and you can get whatever features you want. Dale had the automation stuff (Mist King, etc.) attached inside the cabinet in the back to make everything very clean.
This is progress! The fogging at night should really make a difference over a few days. Every time he breathes out he loses water-when he breathes in fog at night, it is replenished.

I have a 4' tall x 4' wide. T he side screen openings start 14" up from the bottom. So we are not talking about the bottom half, only the bottom third. And because the plants are elevated on bars 4" up from the floor it is really only 10".
I have literally never seen my cham anywhere near...

However, they will usually turn dark to absorb more of the rays, so probably won't do great...
Agree here-you need a diagnosis before treating! They should wait on blood results.
For example-if there are kidney issues certain antibiotics would be contraindicated. And of course he should be checked for worms (fecal) before using a wormer.
I BELIEVE but not certain that gout would show...
Same experience here. Definitely manageable.
And upon request Dale can add as much additional ventilation as you want. He makes doorknob sized holes with little adjustable vents in them towards the upper back of the enclosure so you have flexibility to change the humidity.
I think the...
