    Husbandry review

Do you only use temp gun to measure? The Govee monitors are very accurate and can give alerts if outside your parameters. It should help keep track of conditions at night and then the fans may not be needed. as they can be blowing your fog out and drying things too much...

    Do plants “see”?

I think there must be something "like" vision operating for a couple of reasons. Plants always turn toward the sun. (although this could be heat receptors??) My sunflowers face in exact opposite directions in the morning and the evening. Also, vines make a beeline towards a tree or a wall. I...

What should I decorate the cage with?

Can you get her to cup feed? I prefer that because 1-no escapees in the cage 2 you directly monitor how much is eaten 3-You can control supplements better versus crickets that have time to preen them off in a feeder cup 4- It helps acclimate your cham to you and see you as a positive thing

    Carpet Chameleon Enclosure advice!

With my boehmii I used a smaller sized Sansi plant light beside his UVB, the Sansi put out enough heat to be about 10 degrees above the rest of the cage and he used it occasionally.

New To Chameleons - Adopting a Previously Sunburnt Male Veiled.

F10 is recommending on-label for fogging for issues such as respiratory fungal and bacterial disease at least in birds-although I don't think I would do it. But I agree with you, I don't see any way it would be indicted for thermal burns. Unless the vet saw or suspected an RI as well.

Happy hatch month Beman, 6 years old

There is a gift and curse to having an older pet. We know what is eventually inevitable is creeping closer..but them being older means we have been gifted with time and so many more wonderful moments. To know that he is secure and comfortable and lacking for nothing should also bring you...

    Plant/garden people!

Well we need to talk! Specifically some swaps. I have, well, everything. I can't bear to throw them away so I have hundreds of baby VFT, and I think about 100 different types? About the same number on butterworts. These pics are just what's currently outside. All are running about 6 months...

    Silkworms! How to hatch eggs?

So maybe the heat? Also when my eggs are close to hatching time I lightly spray with water and it almost always gets them hatching right away.

Can chameleon get edema of silkworms?

Would not think so, have not seen that. I suppose IF they were eating a ton of them they would be getting additional fluid (versus eating crickets for example) so they might look "plumper" that you are used to?

    Silkworms! How to hatch eggs?

LOL well the girls get theirs, too it just takes a little longer :) After all, the alternative is that they just starve to death and die which I really hate to see. If and when that happens (for example chams are too stuffed...) the dead make their way into one of several hundred hungry pitcher...

    Silkworms! How to hatch eggs?

I never separate mine, they usually do so themselves after a couple of days. Then I feed the males off and the females can lay eggs.

    Silkworms! How to hatch eggs?

I use the wax paper, too. I use paintbrush to put the newly hatched on a piece of wax paper in a petri dish with food. The top on the petri dish keeps them and the food from drying out too fast. I keep them in there until they are white or as long as I can. Also I used to use the gutter screen...
