Hi everyone. I recently traded a few of my veiled babies for a panther baby. We are pretty sure it is a female but I just wanted to check here first since I have no experience with panthers. I took several pictures of the base of the tail so hopefully it will be obvious to experienced...
Sorry to bring up this old thread but I just came across it while searching for something. It brings back a lot of memories. When I was younger I used to spend a lot of time at the creek next to our home. I caught all kinds of darters and many other fish. I'm not sure what kind of darters...
I was just curious. It had been almost 9 months and I was beginning to wonder if they were still any good. I am new to this hatching thing.
The baby is doing well and my 6 year old son has named her Lexi. :o Not that we will be able to tell which one she is when the others hatch. I did...
Hey guys, I have been wondering something for a while. I mentioned something about dubia to a local pet store owner and he informed me roaches were now illegal in TN. I have noticed in the last few years there haven't been any Madagascar hissing cockroaches in any shops. Are roaches illegal...
That is about what I was thinking. I feel really bad about it since he made it so far then with one little slip it ended. A couple of weeks would put them right at 9 months.
Hey guys, today I was trying to candle my almost 9 month old eggs and while looking at one I tried to shift my fingers to get a better view and I dropped the egg. :( It broke and the little guy inside gulped a couple of times and then blinked and then he was dead. He still had a pretty large...
That might be doable then. I live a ways from the pet store so I don't want to be having to run up there every couple of days. I have gotten used to the no fuss roaches I guess. :D
How many crickets would a full grown pygmy eat in a day? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect feeding wise. I only have experience with larger crickets and when half of them decide to just die off overnight sometimes. Are the smaller ones less prone to do this?
Hi everyone. I have been thinking of some pygmies for a while and was really wondering what I could feed them besides crickets? I have a small dubia colony and more on the way soon. Will dubia nymphs be too big? I just really don't want the mess (or smell) of crickets. :)
I have absolutely no clue on the crooked female but is there a possibility that it is some sort of tuberculosis? I know fish with fish tuberculosis will get crooked looking backs. Like I said, I have no clue, just going from what I know about fish. She is kinda cute in her own way.
It really irks me when people like the author of that assume that all wells are contaminated with surface runoff. I drill them for a living and I would much rather drink water from a properly done well than city water. If it is done correctly it should have no surface water in it. Sorry, just...
Yes, she was mated and all of them appear to be fertile. I could tell she was getting a lot bigger than I expected. I am not planning on breeding her again in the near future. At least wait another year or so, maybe not again, who knows.
