i agree.. every time i go to my local petsmart and i ask about chameleons they say "I really dont know much about chameleons.. honestly.. so i couldnt help you.." but yet they have a chameleon for sale every time! so i wonder how they take care of it... hmmm... ??!! and they dont even sell...
i read a comment of yours in another thread.. maybe you should take him out of that new red room you moved him to. alot of ppl here have been saying that the color red pretty much pisses their chameleon off.. in my case, mine wont eat out of a red cup.. he wont even come close.
He loves his crickets too! and just like yours.. he doesnt even glance at the dubias they sent me home with.. lol. another thing is he LOVES to hunt fruitflys!!! he's not very interested in cup feedings unless he hasnt ate all day. and he loves the mealworms as well.. i know theyre not too good...
I see.. what expo did you go to? I got mine from the Sacramento Expo.. also for 100. but the lady "Jen" said she can guarantee only 75% male. I just dont remember what colors she had said the sire was.. You're making me curious so i emailed her to see which one mine was from. lol. I'll meet you...
This is my baby.. this is the one I'm telling you might be her brother.. lol he is 9 weeks old.. right around her age! see the resemblance.. lol jk

Its really stupid but i dont remember which batch mine was from.. this is because at the time i did not know much about chams let alone what they are called! lol.. but i do remember asking what the name meant.. and Jen told me "it just means that the dad is blue with red stripes... or red with...
Well i have a Panther Cham.. but i think the same rules apply.. you should dust your feeders everyday with Calcium WITHOUT D3... you dust with Multivitamin and Calcium WITH D3 once every 2 weeks. *if this is not the same for jacksons please correct me. *
ok so what do u think about this 9 week old.. the second pic makes me think female.. but everyone kept saying male when he/she was 6 weeks old...*this was supposed to be the first pic.. *https://www.chameleonforums.com/attachments/general-discussion/66409d1350868118-my-babys-progress-img_0180.jpg
hmmm... this is funny because i posted a thread earlier this week about how i feel red confuses my chameleon because he will not eat out of this red cup i try feeding him in but will out of another one which is a diff color..
your chameleon is very cute..! how old is he/she? i'm no expert but i think your problem was too much D3.. you should dust your baby's food with Calcium w/ No D3 every day... and use a multivitamin and Calcium w/D3 only every 2 weeks.. I also have a baby Panther and i personally feed him...
Thats exactly what i'm thinkng... i mean is there anything we can use? mine is also bare with just the cardboard the cage came with.. which i cant rely on because of the same moisture issue.. Plus, its starting to look a little nasty... bummer..
